Job done, I still have hard breaks, have vacuum, just replaced the booster, today the F Left ABS sensor. Plus, the bearings with confidence thanks to you. I will go back and get the right torque on the rotor. I was running out of daylight, so I slapped it on with a couple back and forth and then snuged it down. Your way looks correct... 😅
@dax313xab Жыл бұрын
With the ABS light out. Next, I will double-check the push rod on the booster vs. the oem. If that looks right, I'll replace the master cylinder. I figure that the last possible thing, right? 2002 E350 7 3 powerstroke for context.

Great video! Thanks! I’m replacing front rotors and hubs on a 2004 E450 camper chassis with rear duals. The front rotor extends out further to accommodate the dually wheel. Is the procedure and torque spec the same?
@JM-AUTO5 ай бұрын
thanks for sharing, the rear duals are a little different but very similar, 8 wheel nuts at 9/16-18 148 ft-lbs and the ones with 5 nuts 103 ft-lbs
@rocks585 ай бұрын
@@JM-AUTO thanks for the quick reply and sorry for the confusion. I’ll be replacing the front rotors. The rotors I have extend out further than the ones in your video, I’m guessing to fit a deeper wheel that’s interchangeable with the rear duals. Is the torque spec and tightening sequence the same for the axle nut on my rotors/hub as what you show in the video?
@JM-AUTO5 ай бұрын
@@rocks58 no problem, yes they have same torque specs

Your packing the bearings are wrong way you're supposed to put grease in the palm of your hand.. and slap the bearing sideways into the grease in a packs it inside the bearing slap the bearing in the palm of your hand and it will pack it and work it around on both sides that's how you grease a bearing
@jamesconley97532 ай бұрын
Yeah, just packed those bearings, takes 5 mins with gloves, a pile of grease in your palm and pushing the grease through the bearing by taking “bites” of grease with the bearings
@htatesil4192 Жыл бұрын
Please use gloves 🙏

I have an 04 e150...are the hub n spindles all the same on the 150...250...350?
@JM-AUTO10 ай бұрын
it is basically the same, the difference is almost nothing so the procedure is almost exactly the same.

Packing the bearings, put a glob of grease in the palm of your left hand, take the bearing in your right hand and force the base of bearing into the glob over and over until it starts coming out between the rollers toward the top. Rotate and repeat over snd over and you’re done in less than a minute. Dad taught me how to do it properly over 50 years ago, he was a Navy trained mechanic I miss him everyday. Good video. God bless!
