I'm 63 years old, and I grew up listening to this kind of music. The 70s were an awesome time in music.

Ambrosia are remembered most nowadays for their later, more pop-oriented hits from the late 70’s and early 80’s. But their early albums were much more progressive rock-oriented. This track was from their debut album, and they’re definitely worth a deep dive. Amazing musicians and vocalists! ❤

In the early 70's this song ran through my head over and over again. It took me quite a while to realize this was from Ambrosia! David Pack's voice is stellar!

@@betseyr.9081 I'm pretty sure the first one was also. I heard David Pack in an interview talking about how he called Abbey Road studios and Alan Parsons picked up the phone.

One of the best bands ever!! Fixed that for you. Only 5 albums from the original lineup, but they were excellent. David Pack has the voice of an angel. Saw them in a tiny venue back in 1980. 💙💙🔥🔥 Ambrosia also performed with Alan Parsons on his first album, "Tales of Mystery and Imagination: Edgar Allen Poe". David Pack also does lead and backup vocals on some of Alan Parsons other albums. Joe Puerta, guitar and vocals, went on to work with Bruce Hornsby and the Range. Ambrosia reformed without David Pack in later years and they were still performing in CA fairly recently.

The bands first 2 albums are the best IMO and very prog. This song is off the debut album and there is NOT a bad track on it, follow this up with “Drink of Water”, it is a masterpiece and will blow your mind.

You have got to go down the Ambrosia rabbit hole bud. Find those live ones too like in the Midnight Special. They are way underrated...there I said it...I know it's a cliché... but they got some really good music and some of it climbed way up in the charts. The lead singer plays the lead guitar as well.
