"BOLD As Love" Anger, he smiles Towering in shiny metallic purple armour Queen jealousy, envy waits behind him Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground Blue are the life-giving waters taken for granted They quietly understand Once happy turquoise armies lay opposite ready But wonder why the fight is on But they're all bold as love, yeah, they're all bold as love Yeah, they're all bold as love Just ask the axis My red is so confident that he flashes trophies of war And ribbons of euphoria Orange is young, full of daring But very unsteady for the first go round My yellow in this case is not so mellow In fact i'm trying to say it's frigthened like me And all these emotions of mine keep holding me from, eh Giving my life to a rainbow like you But, i'm bold as love, yeah, i'm bold as love Yeah, yeah Well i'm bold, bold as love (hear me talking, girl) I'm bold as love Just ask the axis (he knows everything) Yeah Yeah Yeah!

The title track from The Jimi Hendrix Experience's second album which was just as powerful as their trailblazing debut effort but more stylistically experimental and refined. The most well-known songs are "Spanish Castle Magic", "Little Wing" (one of Jimi's most covered songs), "If 6 Was 9", and "Castles Made of Sand", but don't sleep on "Up from the Skies", "Wait Until Tomorrow", "You Got Me Floatin', and "One Rainy Wish".

he was a very good poet, drawing pictures with words , fleshing out the landscape with guitar. the phasing at the end gives it a ballistic quality, rushing through the atmosphere to escape velocity. all done without all the effect pedals available today. I put him up there with mozart.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix was an American guitarist, songwriter and singer. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Jimi Hendrix Experience (often shortened to The Experience) was a band comprising guitarist/singer/songwriter Jimi Hendrix, bassist/backing vocalist/songwriter Noel Redding, and drummer/backing vocalist Mitch Mitchell.

My brother in law has riddden Harley Davidson’s all his life and looks the part. He grew up in northern Michigan. When he was 14 he and a buddy snuck off and jumped a freight train headed to Detroit, in Traverse City, - to go see Jimi in concert. On the way home afterwards, they jumped the wrong train and had to get off where it stopped in Grand Rapids, more than 100 miles south of where they needed to be. At that point, they had to call his dad, who had no idea they were gone, and ask if he could come and get them. It was a fairly noisy ride home despite only one person doing all the ‘talking.’ 😲 I’ve asked him several ti es if he would do it again. The answer is always the same: Oh, fn)k yeah

The last part the producer used something called phasing on his guitar part. It gives it kind of an expanded sound, layers of sound. The hammering keyboard is an excellent pairing with Jimi's guitar in that last part as well.
