Is the mousepad supposed to be very firm? I got this pc a few day ago but the mousepad is slightly “lose” at the bottom half, makes a little bit of noise when you use that part and is a bit separated from the rest of the pc’s body. I had another Lenovo (very old) and didn’t have this problem, the pad was completely attached to the pc. I don’t know if I should change it or if it’s a design thing

Does anyone know if these laptops can be upgraded with a dedicated gpu or is it basically purpose built with no ability for expansion/upgrades? Also, would this be able to handle outputting 4k video to an external monitor? With decent color space and frame rates? I want this for watching movies and some video editing.

That might be a function in the bios. To access the bios when the laptop starts up , press "F2" or "delete" continuously. Just be careful what you change in the bios because it affects the whole machine.

@@jacqalas exactly. i was hoping you could check it. i intend to keep laptops i buy til they break. one problem i encountered was the power button. i have an old dell computer and it doesnt have a feature to turn it on by lid. i saw a video with lenovo having this but he has a gaming laptop which i cannot afford.

I just got one but the screen its awfully bad, it has like a light halo the whole time and colors looks very washed, is that normal or is my laptop defect?

This is not normal. The screen should be crisp and colors sharp.
