Whitney's voice is the ONLY voice that makes me feel connected to our heavenly Father. That woman was blessed and she KNEW she was divinely gifted. No matter what road she took in life she knew in her SOUL our father UNCONDITIONALLY loved her. She knew how to make us feel what she was feeling and that feeling is something of glory. Rest in heavenly strength Whitney Houston.

An amazing performance but with Whitney, it’s more than just the notes. It’s the way she makes me feel and the journey she takes me one, that was her real gift. Great that you went though the technical but also recognised what she was adding with the emotion. ❤

I was so fortunate to be able to see her live in the early 90s when I was a kid. She was my first big concert, and when I tell you that she formed my musical appreciation and set a high bar, I'm telling you she had the ability to change lives with her voice. Whitney had a magical gift. She sang with real emotional, intention, and passion. She was a once in a lifetime voice.

One time, a supervisor of mine said he didn’t understand what was so special about Whitney Houston. He didn’t think Whitney’s voice made her a musical genius because she wasn’t known to write her own songs. “She was just a pop star.” There’s talent, there’s skill, and then there’s ANOINTING. This video demonstrates Whitney’s anointing so beautifully. Just as you said Jaron, you can see that Whitney isn’t singing to an audience. Her eyes aren’t even open during the performance. She is singing to our God who art in Heaven. She is using the gift God have her to praise Him. And He loves her so. No matter how the world exploited her gifts for profit or tried to tear her apart, she did fulfill her purpose and she continues to inspire millions with her gift. If God has blessed you with a gift, it is our duty to use what He has blessed us with so we may be a blessing unto others ❤

One thing about Whitney she will throw in a pentatonic run, and it sounds good no matter what the song is 😂
@AChosenGen
@AChosenGen 5 ай бұрын
What is a pentatonic run??
@t_ylr
@t_ylr 5 ай бұрын
@@AChosenGen 7:20 that lol. The pentatonic scale is 5 notes and it's the basis for most riff and runs in gospel and blues. Also a lot of the runs you hear in r&b and pop. When you sing those notes over major or minor chords it usually gives a "churchy" sound. Actually now that I'm listening to it again I think she added some notes. Technically that would just make it a minor scale run.
