Tom Jones is one of Jennifer Hudson vocal coaches that's why they sound so good together. He vocally trained her for the Aretha Franklin "Respect" movie. Her original vocal coach and classical/operatic music instructor passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 95 in Chicago. She was responsible for starting the singing careers and vocal training of the great Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, R. Kelly, Jennifer Hudson, and Whitney Houston.

If you learn technique properly you can sing well into your old age. My Choir Director learned to sing properly and still hits high tenor notes and low bass well into his late 70s. Singing is a skill and a talent. If you learn to do it well and are blessed with good pipes God only knows...

All I know is I'm so glad, so grateful she along with her talent was discovered. She is a wonderful singer and actress and has such a personable personality that is undeniable beautiful. Her soul is genuine. Her grandmother's music lessons shine every time she sings. I love her. I saw her in Philly (Upper Darby) at Tower Theatre with Maxwell some years ago and can' t wait till she tours this way again.

The US is a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures so there is a good chance we use many words that are Latin, French, Spanish or patois which is a combination of many languages including various African dialects.
