Most of these inaccuracies can be summed up to their being a zombie apocalypse. A French soldier could have potentially found a nock gun or a brown Bess from a dead British soldier or maybe even a saber. The undaunted ship would have never passed by vardohus fortress unless there was a horde of blood thirsty cannibals terrorizing all of Great Britain. The shamblers might have been wearing the funny looking hat during the 18th century when they died and then re awakening during the blight in the 19th century as a shambler.

no not really, none of this works with “zombie apocalypse” because in every map we’re fresh units who’ve suddenly been thrusted into a map, fez hates this way of thinking. theres no way a soldier wouldve picked up these weapons canonically unless we’ve been in a map where soldiers had been scrounging around. builderman, a dev and lorewriter, said the hms undaunted, a british ship, being all the way in some random location in Denmark makes absolutely no sense and no one should rlly try to make sense of it, plus Britain is fine even during 1815, the hms undaunted has rlly no reason of being there imo shamblers are canonically people who’ve died after 1812 so it makes no sense that any of them would be wearing those hats lol

Fun historical inaccuracy: Most hats you see should be covered from the elements since they're likely going to get damaged, and if G&B added a hat accessory section to cover the hat from the elements then it would work well! (This also goes for the uniforms too by the way, all of your fancy uniforms require a lot of stuff so good luck making more.) REAL ONE 🗿

Pretty sure the infantry always have the bayonets on their musket due to the constant fear of being ambushed which made the bayonet a quick way to deal with an infected rather then pulling out your Sabre

The weapons being used by the wrong regiments and countries, i have a headcanon that bubbles is selling these weapons to the soldiers which is why some of them carry weapons that they're not supposed to be carrying.

Really this video is a masterpiece, the fact that the wiki pays so much attention to Every detail shows just how much work was put into it, it’s just amazing how these people managed to go into All the tiny little inaccuracies in the game and explain them. This is one of the reasons why I Love this game so much, all the devs, admins and youtubers are amazing. One more thing, JMT you are an excellent youtuber. Although i do have a small reason why i get bothered about inaccurate uniforms is because if your making an oc there's a big chance the uniform may be 90% inaccurate although some of the uniforms are accurate to they're irl form there are some that don't have the accuracies or details the uniform has which would be make it difficult for me to see which is accurate and which is not, and even if you try to do research on the regiment and uniform there are going to be uniforms that are really documented much which would make things harder Also JMT IS THE REAL ONE 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥

In game context, some of this historical inaccuracies may be due to the situations the soldiers are put in, causing them to use other weaponry employed by different regiments or old weaponry or other nations weaponry.

Well the reason why the line infantry keep the bayonet on the musket is easily explained to the fact that the zombie would swarm you easily because of its number so keeping the bayonet on the musket gives them quick access to melee weapons and the reason sappers use axe instead of musket or carbine is probably because of lack of guns and because they can use axe to destroy any woods furnitures or chop trees to make a barrier or obstacle to holding the zombies
