I belive that the RED anomalies are actually trying to save the players from the BLU anomalies, since all the RED anomalies do is either change the maps, kick the player out of the game or put them in public servers alongside other players, they even look almost like guardian statues with the A pose and the white eyes, in contrast, almost all of the BLU anomalies had been shown as corrupted, almost monsterlike, engi and spy in particular seem like they're the most violent against the players,like they're hunting them down. Hell, is posible that the RED anomalies act so scary as an scare tactic, so the player can do the most sane thing and turn off the game.

One thing to note is in the “my game is haunted” video, during the section at the end where the Engineer ends up in a lobby full of players, the HUD has been updated to the post-Meet Your Match style, despite the desktop still saying 2011 moments later. Whatever these doorways are, neither space nor time are any impediment to them, it seems.
