Manistee born and raised. I grew up playing and even working at this course. Wild fact, the front entrance used to actually be where the Manistee National logo is but the building partially burned down years ago and they relocated it to be only at the back patio side. Source: I was there.

I have not played here but I have played the Manistee Golf and Country Club before. Was honored to do a golf Vlog there as it’s right on Lake Michigan and four holes are right on the cliff edge that drop down to the beach. One of the oldest courses in the state as well as it was built in 1901 by Tom Bendelow. My favorite course up north is the Tribute Course at the Otsego Club in Gaylord. That course is insane. Maybe no Great Lakes water but there are some insane elevation changes especially on the front nine. Do give it a try if you guys get the chance!

This was so cool to watch, manistee national is my home course and only a 2 minute drive from my house. This is actually the first full season that the short course has been open. Would love to see you guys come back and play one of their other courses!

Forest Akers West Course is GASSSSSSSSSSS that’s where the 2021 D1 State Championship was at and I played in it. Shot pretty well as well (79 Saturday 80 Sunday). Hawk Hollow is always a must play and The Emerald in St. John’s is a sleeper just a bit north. Played there a ton when I worked in Mt. pleasant last year.

Angels Crossings has some pretty huge and sloped greens, similar to these but on a normal course. Well worth the trip to the Kalamazoo area
