This song is by Lawrence Hilton Jacobs. He's an actor most known for his role as Freddie Washington in tv's Welcome Back Kotter (1975-1979) and towards the end of the 70s Larry wanted to also do music so he released two albums and this song is from one of them. His music didn't do too well on the charts when first released so I'm glad one of his songs has been creatively introduced to a modern audience. 💕
