A rare intellectual, grounded, serene and totally immersed in the deep civilisational and cultural roots of this ancient land.. His repertoire is truly outstanding and he has the intellectual gravitas and depth to take head on , the near fascistic ",cancell " culture that JNU's elite cabal had passionately undertaken and erected to an unshakable movement . That this place had become the default political platform of a disgruntled and rejected political opposition to launch an organized revilt against an elected, popular government- which had the deep backing of the Indian people - was astonishing. That JNU became the hive of patently anti national narrative and institutionalised vile & invective is even more poignant. The last nail was the international ganging up of a global left-oriented academia to promote an anti India narrative using the JNU framework and platform. We need many more detailed exposes of the JNU history by many more scholars. This should be the start of a historical debate on the subject.

Absolutely TRUE. By making Social Sciences, History, Humanities, highly Political, in past 50 years, lost massively in Knowledge creation. ... We created stale research, one sided, Propaganda,not allowing brain to put to use 💯. Our students forced to mug this up without Critical thinking of foreign ideologies imposed upon us. No extensive study , research into exploring, presenting native contributions. That's why we hadn't been world class Institutions. ... Our institutions should be centers like Nalanda where Knowledge grows like a banyan tree

It was MKG who let politics into the Universties and schools across the country in 1942 during "Quit India Movement" on the ground of freeing India from colonialism etc. This was opposed by Anne Beasant stating that this would be a bad precedent and a free India would suffer if politicisation in educational institutions happened. But her words come true now and we pay the price.

Never thought of it. So true.

Wrong. politics into the Universties and schools across the country started long before MKG .Savrkar also did it. And Anne Beasant died in 1933 , 9 years before 1942
@ggfg85702 жыл бұрын
@@sk-wi6sg I think somewhere AnneBeasant mentioned that politics in universities and schools will ruin the free India. As far as student politics before MKG and the role of Savarkar if you could any reference I shall be grateful so that I can update my knowledge.
@arpitasahoo77192 жыл бұрын
@@sk-wi6sg Savarkar never gave an open call to all youth and men to boycott British institutions including education and office as MKG did. Savarkar ran a secret group of handpicked faculty and even less students about which the larger junta had no idea. Both can not be equated.

1. Shut down JNU. The 1000 odd acres can be converted into two campuses to house an institute of national importance such as IISc Delhi, Indian Statistical Institute Delhi, National Institute of Virology Delhi, Delhi Mathematical Institute, etc. 2. Stop all bachelor level courses in social sciences. Replace with only Digitial Humanities courses at the master level.

Loved the book, really makes you think. It's not just about the current challenges, which we sure would overcome, but about those which our next generation would face. By 2050 this world would be completely different. I definitely would propose a incentive based Fee structure. First make it completely free. For students who complete their courses with distinction + 95% attendance in a timely manner, they don't need to pay a penny. For others make them sign bonds to repay the entire fees at market rate with 10% interest within 5 years.

Humanities, Social Sciences must be taught from the Dharmic perspective. Not from Abrahamic perspective!! Both Humanities & Social Sciences syllabus r 1:1 contents of the western society which has evolved the way it has evolves. India has evolved the way it has evolved. What is the underlying societal background of the Indian society? Is the Indian society same as the western society?? If the answer is NO, how can we take inspirations from course contents which is fremd to the indian evolution???

What Mr Panranjpe lacks is the insight or realisation that there is no room for dialogue left anymore!! Taking lessons from Mahabharat, Mr Paranjpe, kindly answer : should Krishna have continued to have dialogue with Duryodhan, Dhritrashtra? The answer of Mahabharat is in front of us! Another quote: ToleranceParadox. Tolerating the intolerant, is the end of Tolerance ~ Karl Popper Karl Popper derived his inspirations from Mahabharat!!

Nothing great about this institution Jnu, I feel it is hyped intelligence propaganda about students and teachers and it’s atmosphere. I had an opportunity to work with them during my teaching career and I found they very avg intelligent staffs, just like any other universities in India have. Yes, Delhi being the capital hub, there are challenges in getting jobs, passing exams/competitions, excelling in Co-curricular activities, and for survival. The instinct to survive for power, position, etc., is luring the Students to do all that matters happened/ happening in the campus .

We need to keep the flame alive. At least 25cr people should watch it. This is the greatest service you will do and it will not cost you anything also. This applies to anyone else also reading this appeal. Please feel free to copy and paste in comments in the videos you watch.

With due respect to Professor Sir.....as taxpaying Indians, we cannot have an education facility become a political den ! Secondly, one cannot be half pregnant. Either you allow student unionism / politics or you do not. As a taxpayer, I would not support the former option. Students surely can have their political preferences just like they may have for their cigarettes, but to legitimise that through formation of student unions is cheating the taxpayer, whose contribution is towards the betterment of India, not to sponsor the damn 'nautanki' choreographed by political parties. The students can join politics after they have passed out of and do whatever the hell they want, but not at the expense of the taxpayer and national integrity.

I may be wrong but I strongly feel that "EDUCATION REFORMS" is the least prioritized issue. Appointment of SMRITI IRANI as education minister was the first example and now the one of the lowest profile minister like Prakash Javdekar has been put in charge of something which should have been one of the TOP PRIORITIES of Modi govt.

1. The entire Humanities section of JNU must be scrapped immediately. 2. In fact, such areas from all Central Universities should be scrapped. 3. We should instead have Research Centers for various areas/disciplines where only researchers work as employees. 4. Most of humanities studies can be done online mode and there should be a national level standards test in different subjects to earn a degree (grad, post grad etc. ). This will funds for Govt and can be used for primary and secondary education. Govt should spend funds only for Science discipline. Let us not be romantic or nostalgic about JNU, AMU etc etc. Just scrap them.
