Hey guys, we used the new silverfire dragon pot to cook luck while we were deer hunting. It worked awesome. It took about 8 minutes to get the fire going, and have our soup hot and ready. Check out the link below to get your own. Thanks for watching, and God bless............................J

Uh-oh . . . you put the base ring of your stove upside down. Like the SilverFire website says, " flame go up". But, in tribute to the efficiency of this stove, it still works "bass-akwards". :-) Hey, thanks for the great video and for inviting me along on your hunting trip. I enjoyed myself!

I do love Stoves, seems like a very efficient kit for two or more. It will have to be for me and my two youngest... I think it'll work out just fine. I see people scoffing at the price, do they not realize how much work has gone into the stove and kit.sometimes, people will comment on things they just don't fully understand at any rate really good informative review as all your silver fire products have been thank you so much for bringing this on to the table, take care Shane

As silly as it my sound, I'm impressed with the lid simply because it has a proper knob on it! I hate those camping pans that has a lid with those simple wire loops that flop down. They might pack down smaller, but those freakin loops don't stand up, so it's hard to pick up the lid when the loop keeps flopping over, and it's even more exacerbating because the lid is hot! This kit in the video was thought out and made well. Kudos to Silverfire for putting a proper knob on the lid!

Love the video. Your surroundings look like you are in my neck of the woods here in North Carolina. I saw you scout a little tipsy at one point, so be careful. (first aid-take some burn cream just in case). I have the bigger silverfire, makes some good fried chicken fingers! it's fun using. My sister has the scout. great for primitive camping. wishing you a successful hunt!! "Meat for the winter" that's coming soon. I heard a bad snowy winter is predicted for your area. I learn a lot from your videos, keep then coming. God bless, and have a safe day.

EXCELLENT video, Mr. Jnull0. Thank you very much. Watching you empty those cans made me think about using some of my dehydrated foods (corn, pre-cooked hamburger "rocks", chili beans and a spice powder blend) as long as I had a good source of water or heck, if I'd taken along a bag of pre-cooked & dehydrated spaghetti with meat sauce. The endless possibilities! God Bless.

Try the Vaseline covered cotton balls for fire starter. Very cheap and easy to use. Super light weight too. That sounded like glass. I know I would break it for sure. And I'm sure you already know this anyway. Good vid. I have a bunch of silverfire stuff already. Maybe I'll pick this one up. My pathfinder one broke so I need a new pot.

Hey jnull0, I believe you have the bottom portion of this stove upside down in the video, I know it was probably a simple mistake, but I figured I would point out to people who are watching the video trying to learn the proper way to use this stove. Thanks for the video, I'm very interested in the mini dragon pot.

Good video! Yet, while it is common practice to light these wood gas stoves using the upside down fire lay, I suggest they work much better with a traditional fire lay. Especially when using wood pellets. I have an Ohuhu that has vent holes in the bottom of the firebox. After laying the fire I simply pick the stove up and light it from the bottom. I believe you will find that not only will the fire be much easier to light it will burn more efficiently, reaching operating temperature more quickly.

Dear Mr.John, hope all's well in the part of the world that you are in? "that phrase sound's familiar " lol, Hope you don't mind me saying,( eureka moment) with the dragon pots they seem to burn a bit fierce at times, is/would it be possible for Mr. Todd to design a stainless steel band/collar with the flame shaped hole's to go around the primary base support air ports, that could be moved left or right direction to control/constrict/slow the air flow as required, that may even help the dragon pots to be even more efficient? love all your vid's. mick from uk, and my smallholding, just a few pigs.

You said something about taking that with you to have a fish fry at the river. I believe that Ohio has a law against filleting the fish while you are still fishing. You don't want to get in trouble with a game warden for something little like that.

I first saw this cooking set up on Wayne's fishing video with you recently.... "slow down and live life or you'll miss it" imo, should be a bumper sticker.... anyhow- I don't care about the price! I care about the quality of stainless it is! I am done buying modern stainless steele pots made with stainless that gets pin holes in it quickly, like within a season of hard use. I have had to resort to antique shops and the like, to find thick good lifelong products. In your opinion is this a purchase that will not have to be re-bought in your lifetime ? Is it something, like old cast iron pots, that can be past on to future generations? No more throw away/seasonal products for me equals not shopping in modern stores for the most part. Hope you tell me yes! this is not thin chinese stainless............. Keep on Keeping on

Clever design, but expensive. I have a two person kit with anodized aluminum that I paid 18 dollars for, has a little fry pan and a pot. I've had it for years and used it quite a bit. I threw out the little bowls and put a camp steel coffee cup that I can cook in with it. I have a pop can alcohol stove I built, and also a folding wood burning stove I paid 15 dollars for. I don't agree with going that high for camping, but to each his own. I have a tarp and an army bivy sack that cost me about 30 dollars apiece. Just about all my camp equipment put together cost as much as that pot.

Yeah, the alice pack is an excellent buy. I have an old Jansport external frame I bought many years ago, still in excellent shape. It doesn't cost much at all to be comfortable and warm out there. The next thing I want to get for car camping and around the house is a cast iron dutch oven. I have a 10 inch iron skillet. That would pretty much do me.

ibpn, lol. Anyhow, these stoves also have a survival purpose. They can be used when power goes out in apartments, for camping, emergency situations in vehicles etc. In many state parks wood fires are banned where these may not be. We have one and it's a great way to take a break and enjoy cooking outdoors, very relaxing. Todd Albi makes them, sends these to poor countries where wood is scarce as they take very little wood to heat foods. That said, thermos's n' sandwiches stillwork too. cheers
