Guys, Sikandar is the Urdu/Arabic/Persian word for Alexander (the great). So, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar means Who wins, that one only is Alexander/winner. Means, of course, trying is important and magnificent, but the last laugh is only of the conquerer, winner, right? Only the winner dictates rules and matters, practically. That's the nature of the world. Like, if a political party wins at 50.5% vote, that's just 1% more than the other party, which means that nearly half the country does not want the winning party in the government, but, what can you do, jo jeeta wohi Sikandar! Also applies if we pass an exam by cheating LOL, if we're not caught and we pass, we are considered to have cleared that exam, perhaps even over a person who studied hard and still failed, but what can we do, jo jeeta wohi Sikandar! 😅

Fun Fact: The movie is from 1991, and that is why Mansoor Khan( the director) used a few English Hits of the time in the movie as fillers like "No son of Mine" - Genesis, "Loverboy" - Billie Ocean and others as you mentioned. One guitar chord progression in the song Pehla Nasha is from Hello - Lionel Richie!!

The first time I watched this movie was probably in 2018 or 2019? But, it easily become one of my favourite Aamir Khan's movie. It's just a great coming of age story that most youth can relate to. It's wholesome. It will be great if you watch Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) from the same director too, which was also Juhi Chawla and Aamir's Khan debut. They went on being one of the most loved on-screen couple during the 90s after that film. A classic. Another one of my favourite Aamir's films. Another suggestion for coming of age kind of movie is Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994) with SRK.
