Nice video! Thanks! I am pretty new to Meyer and dussack and would like to ask two questions if you don't mind. 1. You show the Stier stretched out far beyond your face. Is this a common Interpretation? I had the impression that the manuscript shows the hand close to and besides the head, ready for a thrust. 2. What is the purpose of the secondary cut from the wrist after the initial upward cut that already finishes in the Stier? Thanks a lot, again! I hope you show more about dussack in the future.

Hey there :) The finishing moves are only to overshoot into steer. Not für thrusting or extra cutting purposes. The Steer is also far beyond because it is only to threaten the Opponent with the Point and protection of yourself. Like a Bogen. I dont want to pull back every Steer after overshooting because i want to be fluid during striking.

If I may add to this: the secondary cut into the right Stier (I perform it as a unterhau from the elbow joint) can be used quite well for striking. It often happens that my opponent parries the first cut, but gets hit by me with the second cut as it displaces the parry. I hope you understand what I mean... It's difficult to put into text :-/

Forgive my ignorance but are you finishing with a short edge cut? Is the short/false edge sharpened on a dussack?

Vengeful One Meyer wants us to end with the tip forward. Its to threaten the opponent.
