YES!!! also Show Some Emotion, Willow and many more!! I saw her perform twice, July 1983 and July 1986. The love her fans showed for her was as special as she is.

Joan Armatrading is very underappreciated in the USA. I have loved her music for years but it is tough to find others who are familiar with Joan and her music. She is still playing and recording today. Great artist.

I fell in love with Joan's music from the first moment I heard it. I saw her in NYC back in 1980. Her album that includes Down to Zero will always be one of my favorite albums. I also do not understand why everyone doesn't know her - fascinating voice, great guitarist, great songwriter and also - from her comments when I saw her live twice - just commenting to the audience - just a lovely lovely person

She has an amazing voice. Rough at the lower register and so light on the higher end. She is difficult to put in one genre, she has such a variety of sounds. A folk rock with various flavors, maybe. Thanks for the reaction! ☮🧡🎶

Ah, Joan Armatrading! What a wonderful rabbit hole to go down into. I was lucky enough to see her in concert in Seattle at the Paramount in the mid 80s. I've never experienced the level of love and adoration of an audience for a performer before or since. Beautiful women dancing in the aisles, everyone singing the lyrics, so many beautiful songs. Please check out more of Joan.

Thank you so much for listening to Joan Armatrading. She will always be one of my favorite musicians. If you are looking for another song of hers to listen to ... my next favorite is Water with the Wine. Love and Affection is better known but Water with the Wine I think reveals another side of Joan

Such a wonderful musician! I remember buying the album this song was on in 1976. A truly unique voice and songwriter and still going strong at 73. Here is Joan live (2007) with "Love and Affection" from the same 1976 album: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqWwnaqsf85ppJIsi=wJkVJzIlZlxlFoYT

🇬🇧 When Joan came onto the scene back in the 80s, it didn't take long for her to be HUGE. No-one has a voice like Joan, and I doubt they ever will. "Drop The Pilot" (my favourite by Joan) "Love And Affection" 🎼🎶♥️

Joan Armatrading still performs and at 73 she’s as amazing artist as she’s ever been. You should try Love and Affecting, Drop the Pilot, Willow and Rosie and that’s just for starters. You should also try her live performances on the Jools Holland Show and the BBC Radio 2 house music show.

Along with Kate Bush, Joan is my favourite female artist. I have all of her work, I’ve seen her live - she was the best! I could recommend a huge amount of her work, I’ll be modest on her behalf and suggest try these three - for starters: It Could Have Been Better / Save Me / Everyday Boy / This Is Not That (OK - I know - that’s four!)

Hi, I'm Italian but I like the songs you choose, they are the songs of my youth. I would really like your reaction to some Italian songs. In Italy there are some great poets (Fabrizio de Andrè, Franco Battiato, Francesco de Gregori) you will be very surprised by their songs and their lyrics,

Someone was trying to think of an artist to compare to Joan. Phoebe Snow maybe? Also, I think the singer Joan Armatrading learned a thing or two from the great Shirley Bassey in terms of her eccentric timing and vocal emphasis. As a Brit, she surely grew up with her music.
