As an older Irish gay man, I’ve always loved Dame Joan Collins as Alexis in Dynasty from my teens in the 1980’s growing up in a little village in Rural Ireland, as aside from her gay son Stephen, Alexis gave me the inspiration and the courage to come out as gay - I know that Joan in real life has many gay friends and even at 90, she still looks as wonderful as ever - she is a treasure and we are so lucky to still have her with us, with her handsome husband Percy ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Spent a brief moment with this Dame at an airport lounge many years ago. Unpretentious. Gracious. And just a nice lady. When a Legend is secure in her status there is no need for pretensions.
@eduardo_corrochio6 ай бұрын
The legend. Take notes, folks, because this lady knows heaps about life and the biz of show. Her beauty aside, I think we have to admire Joan's sense of humor, and her style, plus that knowing glint in her eyes that sometimes appears and can say much more than any word or phrase ever could. She's done stage, softcore adult flicks, Faerie Tale Theatre, soap opera (a stint on Guiding Light in 2002), biblical epics of the 1950s, horror movies, American Horror Story: Apocaplyse, and much more. Such diverse stuff. I like that Joan is genuine when she speaks to an interviewer or appears on a live talk show; what you see and hear is what she is. There's no bullcrap or haughtiness at all. I think one of my favorite things that she ever did was her appearance on an episode of the NBC sitcom Will and Grace, in which she played a rival interior designer, and in the episode, boozy society diva Karen Walker tells Grace about the glamorous woman's dirty little secret: occasionally disguising herself in public so she can indulge her predilection for messy Mexican food. Seeing Joan wolf down a gooey taco like a truck driver was priceless.
