The way Joan sings her ballads, that is how you work on me.

I find it absolutely shocking that Joan Osborne's KZbin account has less than 10k subscribers. It should be in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

Joan you are truly a talent that we need more of in the mainstream garbage collecting machine that is music today. The soul in your voice is as deep as caverns in the ocean and as gentle as a rocking baby lullaby. Welcome back we missed you! Love your new album! Congrats on the success to come!

I just love, absolutely love, that once again Joan has shown us what an amazing songwriter she is in addition to being a superb interpreter of other people's songs, not to mention one of my favorite performers ever. I am so grateful and impressed that she wrote EVERY SINGLE SONG on "Love and Hate"?? together with producer John Petruzzelli, plus one song (Up All Night) with Eric Bazilian - who also wrote "One Of Us," so that's quite something to consider. With bookends of "Relish" and "Love and Hate," my personal opinion is that Joan has firmly entered the pantheon of truly great singer-songwriters. And she's still out there day in and day out putting it all on the line in front of live audiences - how impressive is that? There are few to compare with her, in my book.

I prefer the live version of this song. Joan gets to the part with the back up singers going "aahaaahaahaaaah" and you are thinking, "What you gonna do, now, Ms What-if-God-was-One-of-us?" and she pauses and then unleashes a set of notes that makes angels sound like goats... True story...

good melody and singing voice, but the lyrics are very lame, shame because it could be such a great song if only the words would fulfill it's potential
