I miss her so much. Had the honor of meeting her a few times. She was pure joy and brutally honest.

Beside being the most brilliant and funniest comedienne she always looked smashing! The big hair, clothes and accessories- the juxtaposition of how dressed up she looked and then what flew out of her mouth was fabulous! She was a first class show woman. You couldn’t help but be swept up in her energy. Miss her! RIP JR!

I love how, whenever she busts out the 'Can we talk?' catchphrase, it always gets applause because the audience knows she's really about to let loose 😆 miss her terribly, wish I'd had the chance to see her live on stage.

I don't think Joan was never ugly even after or before her plastic surgery, I think she had low zero confidence about herself. As people say.. we are the worst bullies with ourselves.
@kdmil20023 жыл бұрын
I agree that she was always an attractive woman because she took care of herself and dressed elegantly. However, some of her best jokes were the ones where she made fun of herself. I think people related to her more because she did that type of humor. We could all see some of our own insecurities and laugh at them.

Would love to know what made her decide to do the monologues from in front of the desk instead of the curtain. Made it very distinctive.
@MusicalAtmosphere Жыл бұрын
I'm sure it's because that colored curtain was so identified with Johnny Carson, they wanted her to have her own look and keep that background just for him.
@mikestevenson576 Жыл бұрын
@@MusicalAtmosphere But it wasn't just for him. All the other guest hosts used it, including regular guest hosts. So I lean to the idea that it was a creative judgment she made- she had an amazing eye for all kinds of things- but of course I'm just guessing and would love to know the real story from anyone who was there.
@MusicalAtmosphere Жыл бұрын
@@mikestevenson576 Okay, good points. Well, as you said, it was good that she had her with her own distinction during the monologues.

God does have a sense of humour. He humbles the male human ego thinking only men can be most funny not beautiful human females. He creates Joan Rivers a human female that is not only beautiful and sexy but also so funny that your stomach can hurt from laughing so hard The only Female Comedian ever who is not only sexy and beautiful but also can make me laugh uncontrollably so hard my stomach hurts. God had a special plan when He created her.
