Thank you for this video. Doris Soffel is difficult to find, but once found, is difficult to forget. Her voice, over the years, warrants greater fame.

A wonderful performance. Thanks for sharing. I really think Dame Joan was at her very best when she recorded the Wagner and Mozart arias in the late 1970s. I really love her more mature voice and this singing here is just stupendous. I never liked Callas (not at all..she is REALLY overrated) but I LOVE Sutherland. ❤❤

Since you are requesting it, I will upload it in the next days, keep attuned. ;-) By the way, I'd also like to make a similar request to you: could you upload the whole recording of the 1988 Anna Bolena the final scene of which you uploaded some time ago? Sutherland seemed to be in marvelous vocal shape in that performance. Also, do you happen to have my "lost treasure", a Concerto for Soprano Coloratura & Orchestra by Glière sung by Sutherland live in 1979? I had it as a bonus to the (in)famous 1983 La Traviata from Genova with Sutherland, but my HD crashed and I lost it forever. :-(
