Love Joanna. But it’s not, nor should it be, the champs choice who they fight next. The best ranked contender that’s available for the fight should always be next. When champs get to start picking their opponents then the integrity of the sport is gone.

That’s unfair to the top contender. It gives opportunity to choose favorable matchups. It makes the rankings completely pointless. Like I said, it completely destroys the legitimacy of the sport. Just like every other sport in the world, the top contender should get the shot. It’s kind of the nature of any competition…

If she is basing her answer on "accomplishments" that is one thing, but if the list is based on the BEST female fighters - neither Joanna or Rhonda would be on that list. It's true that Amanda lost to Julianna BUT she still won the first round and in a dominate way. She gassed out and got sloppy in the 2nd round. I'm not sure who will prevail in the rematch, but for Amanda to knock out Cyborg, Holly Holm and Rhonda Rousey all in the first round, to submit Meisha Tate in the first round, and to beat Valentina ( first fight, Amanda obviously won, 2nd fight was extremely close -possibly a tie but even if to those who think Valentina won, it was NOT a dominate, convincing performance by Valentina, PERIOD. ) Amanda clearly deserves to be in top 4 , so does Valentina, then I would say Weili ( Weili's 2nd fight with Rose was debatable and I think if they fought again, Weili would win ) the 4th spot either goes to Cyborg or Julianna. If Julianna wins the rematch and then avenges her losses to Valentina and GDR, I give her the spot easily. Julianna was winning the fight with GDR until she made a mistake and got put to sleep, but had that not happened, Julianna would have won 2 rounds out of 3. If GDR continues to improve her wrestling, she has amazing potential.

After that performance. The matchmakers would probably consider it again. Judging Yan Xiaonan debatably should’ve won the judges scorecards against Marina, and Weili absolutely slammed Joanna. It appears Weili is a sharper fighter. Also, Marina has already called to fight Rose after the Weili vs Joanna fight and Weili was told she would earn a title shot if she won. It seems to me that Dana, Marina, Joanna, and most of the fans want to witness Carla vs Weili for the next title fight. All the more reason for the matchmakers to make it happen.

2 losses to Rose, who's a champion, 2 to Weili and one of those was very close, and a loss to Valentina who used to fight at 135 and is a 125 champion. She's only lost to the very best, she slaughtered the current 125 champ and beat the likes of Andrade too.
