Me too! I've planned a trip to Nashville and Memphis 3 times, I still haven't gone! I never knew the story of Nickajack cave until yesterday by going to see the Redemption movie. All the artifacts (even his bed!) and more things I didn't know about him has me thinking I have to find a way to get there! I want to go to his grave in Hendersonville too! The downtrodden I understand completely

I was there today park was closed heard it was a Native American refuge then was a dance hall before got flooded

I believe this to be a symbolic story, a profound myth. It does not to me diminish the core truth of what's he's saying when you don't take him literally. All this could have happened in a haze in a hotel in Chattanooga. I think the cave would have been flooded back then, too.
