I felt like Arthur was someone I knew..couldn't pinpoint who that person was until I realized that Arthur was me- my inner struggle, much like yourself and that is why this movie is just so memorable and moving because it is based on being REAL. His character reflects how I felt socially too. Arthur mirrors the loneliest of individuals of society and his character really spoke to me. I have anxiety and depression and I'm also very introvert and this movie impact me in a way that almost makes me want to seek out help for myself and to continue to help others in the toughest of times. This movie really is an eye opener for most, if not, all people who identify with Arthur.

Rahul patil he’s seen success before this film. He won best actor at the Cannes Film Festival for “You Were Never Really Here” and was nominated for 3 academy awards for “Gladiator”, “Walk the Line”, and “The Master”. Go broaden your horizons and watch films that aren’t a “gritty serious comic book movie”. This Joker film is eternally indebted to Martin Scorsese, and is creatively derivative just at an outside glance. It’s taking a formula and saying “let’s do it with a comic book villain”. That’s just called lazy. I don’t doubt his performance will be great, but this dude is acting nice because it’s a massive studio film from Warner Brothers. It’s not a small indie such as “Her” where he’s not required to do press and be nice. This he has to, he’s contractually obliged. He’s not humble all of a sudden because of Joker’s success. He’s acting. It’s what he does.

Has anyone else noticed that Phoenix seems to be more comfortable doing interviews with lesser-known interviewers? It's when he's with big names like Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel that he starts clamming up? It's like with this young guy here, he feels like he's talking to a real human - a friend. I never thought anyone would even come close to Heath Ledger.. He literally matched it with his own style.
@kathleengirlieisagandacumo16754 жыл бұрын
he is not really near Heath Ledger in my opinion he is Joaquin Phoenix :) plus there are also moments in the car that gives you the Heath Ledger kinda feels.. it was very emotional for me tbh and I think it was a tribute to Ledger for his amazing role. Just wished Heath would still be here tho they were such good pals and so as his late brother River Phoenix would be so proud of his lil bro

casey mart to me it’s just batman, a batman movie should focus on his villain and not just batman himself. I don’t care much for most dc heros, but batman has so much potential as a character, and we keep getting these stupid action movies, when it should be a lot more about psychology, and empathy. I also really want a movie about Hugo Strange specifically, I don’t think he really needs batman to work either lol
