You need to clear land and use factories to make all the shitty useless things you consume. Whereas a meat eater like me uses only 1 ingredient, that being meat, in minimal to no plastic. Veganism has a high drop out rate because they don't get how bioavailability works. You can only convert between 3-10% if that of vegan omega 3 VS 100% of fish omega 3. olie171 well, the fair oaks farm, a farm that was known for how ethical they treated their animals, just got exposed from a leaked video abusing dairy cows. So it wouldn’t be surprising to me if most farms were like that. And the standard practice for pigs is gas chambers I’m pretty sure, and that’s a terrible death. And these films make no profit whatsoever I’m pretty sure, because it’s free on KZbin, so what bias do they even have? And you see you tubers online going to random slaughter houses, all of them are disgusting, cramped, and the workers treat the animals like trash. So how do you explain that? They went to 100 different slaughter houses and chose the worst one to show to their audience? That’s a stretch. And I’ve seen animal abuse in my own house and my neighbors, so it doesn’t surprise me that these slaughterhouse workers with shitty lives treat the animals like crap, because they lack empathy for anyone because they feel betrayed by society, and take out their hate on animals, because they can get away with it.

Same when going to the butcher, it felt like going to a horror room. Still, my parents would have never let me not eat meat at that age. We also watched documentaries about lions eating gazelles and zebras. So I was fed the “circle of life” bs. Fortunately, now there’s research to back up how being vegan can be the healthiest diet on the planet. So now I can align my morals to my actions. Veganism is the best thing for the planet, for the animals, for our health, and for our conscience.

@@corvoIone Most fish are retarded and so are chickens. Nothing that is remotely smart would survive without a damn head for up to eighteen months. Is the dog evil for killing a fish? And if you want some fun animal facts, dolphins some of the most intelligent animals, are known to brutalize baby porpoises, beat and rape females in gangs and eat fish. So, who is worth more? Human baby or dolphin baby? You get to kill either one. See? That's your question. That's the question you're asking. Two completely different animals, one of which is in a symbiosis, whereas the other is a predatory relationship. A dog would protect you with its life. A dog breathes for its owner. Dies for its owner. In return we give it food and shelter. A fish probably won't give a fuck if you're dead or alive, until it notices that the food is missing. Stop correlating things that have no reason to be connected to one another. Dogs are literally willing to save your children out of stormy rivers and you're seriously trying to get me to care about a god damn salmon the way I would a dog? Just stop the hypocrisy. All animals are not equal, but that does not mean that you have to torture the ones you eat. Laziness is the death of duty and our duty was to respect and honor the sacrifice of the animals many eat. And seriously, what are people in the desert and colder regions where nothing grows supposed to eat? You think everyone has the luxury of going to a supermarket? People have been eating fish for thousands of years. Especially people near the sea. Only now is everything dying. It's almost like we take too much and give back too little, without ever showing the creatures of the hunt the mercy they deserve. Going vegan doesn't help. There will always be people eating meat. You want real change? Change the law to make ever slaughter personal and quick, with not as much as the weapon in hand coming in sight of the being you hope to slaughter for nourishment. Let them roam on open fields and have great lives, before the sacrifice. And before you say any stuff about me being brutal, look at the very home you are in. Every object and every item of clothing you wear stole something from this world and harmed both humans and animals in some way. The glass bottle on your desk is why beaches have to import sand from other countries. That very same glass bottle needed to be heated and molten into shape. Same with anything made of porcelain or metal. That used energy and took resources away from the natural world and probably killed animals along the way without you knowing it. A hunter that kills deer and leaves in a little shack with some chickens and NO electricity has probably done more for the environment than you and me combined. Let's stop pretending like we are better than each other. Those hundreds of signs Peta held up had to come from trees, which is most likely taken from the environment of many, many creatures that all suffer now, because they wanted to hold up signs. We need to revamp our entire system of living if we want to actually save anything and push people towards the healthier ways of living. It starts small by simply making cows and sheep less affordable and the dumb dinosaur brained fish and chicken the more appetizing option. Then we can further it to things that taste and feel the same through science and so on. But dogs are not equal to fish, so your comment won't even convince the fish that they shouldn't be eaten.

@Joe Bee Not all vegans are the same. We're all individuals. It's rather simple-minded of you to view your fellow beings through such a cynical lens, to be absolutely frank. We all inhabit this planet together. The more negative emotions you allow to fester in your mind, the more you poison yourself and those around you. Really think about this. We must strive to understand each other. Empathy is so very, very important, because it leads to genuine love for yourself and others. You attract what you are. To find love and acceptance you must BE love and acceptance. Jordan Peterson's lectures might help you.

yes usually eating meat and veggies doesn't effect psyche but one aspect that is noted in non vegetarians(not a generalisation) is that they have a higher tendecy of bloodlust. Also I do not know as an anthropologists any factor that is beneficiary for humans via non veg I would be blunt we found very few good meat like fish beef and all r cancerous but it's ok to eat in small volumes. My intent is not to remove meat from world but biological unhealthy meat we can mass produced meat which will be tastier and healthier and we r doing so do not worry u will get it soon and yeah resources r not much wasted neither global warming will be an issue. Considering the fact that if u ask any topmost anthropologist he/she will tell u that humans developed eating nuts and fruits due to enzymes present in the fruits causing easy digestion and extraction of energy and only 15000 years ago we started eating meat and only in recent years due to scarcity of food now we have been eating meat a lot and becoming sick.

I had an anaphylaxis attack many years ago, and discovered I was allergic to nuts, chicken and morphine. By chance, I watched an animal cruelty documentary, and overnight decided never to eat any meat ever again. Only making a small mark on animal welfare, but it’s important to me. Luckily, I adore plant based food, fruit and vegetables 😊 Thank you Joaquin ❤

@@lindaliriel but a problem is like how do I start? Like- I've grown up in a household where meat and chicken is practically the centerpiece for everything What would you recommend?
@lindaliriel5 жыл бұрын
@@x8makes.1teamx ok, uhm... 1.Food: first I kind of need to understand your starting point, as in are you still living with your parents or have you moved out & have access to a kitchen you can prepare your food? If you cook I would recommend trying different pulses and legumes and see which are cheapest/tastiest/most easily available where you are (your family and friends will give you grief with "BUT PROTEIN" so if you say you eat peas, chickpeas, lentils, beans etc that might help reassure them). There are some good vegan channels and websites with lots of amazing recipes (I love Bosh! and Peaceful cuisine, but they are the tip of the iceberg, there is a whole world of recipes.) if you like I can pass you some revoltingly easy recipes for lazy days. Eating out: Whenever going to a new restaurant you haven't tried before, give a look on their menu online if possible, or if not then give them a call the day before to make sure they can accommodate you with something you like the sound of. Keep in mind many countries have a high percentage of vegans & vegetarians, especially for religious reasons, so a lot of ethnic restaurants have vegan dishes, such as Indian, ethiopian and Eritrean restaurants. Even japanese and chinese cuisine usually have quite a selection of vegan stuff (avocado maki and vegetable tempura come to mind!). Depending on where you live, you might have fully vegetarian or vegan restaurants nearby. 11 years ago I knew of none, now there are 2 vegan bakeries close to my home, so keep checking. Clothes: vegan clothes can be cheap or costly, much like normal clothes. I don't know what style you like but there are many brands that have animal-free clothes, including vegan wool substitutes such as fleece. Dr martins, for example, has vegan shoes. Cotton is vegan so you might have a lot more vegan clothes than you think. I don't recommend throwing your old non-vegan clothes, it's a waste, so either use them to death or, if you feel the need, donate them to friends, family or to charity. In the meantime explore the market, and remember to watch out for leather inserts. BIG RULE be patient with yourself. If you make a mistake, don't beat yourself up. Every day you are trying to be vegan is a day you are trying to be a better person.

@@x8makes.1teamx a good transition tool might be some mock meats (gardein stuff etc). I personally don't use them a lot but they are an occasional treat, however some can be great while others might taste like cardboard so you would have to experiment. Plant based milks come on a plethora of options, I like to use different ones for different purposes (hazlenut milk for chocolate cake recipes, soy milk for homemade mayo, unsweetened almond milk with porridge etc). Different brands have different flavours, so have fun exploring the vast selection! If it is available where you live I recommend Alpro, particularly the coconut rice milk and the almond one. Ease feel free to ask me anything, I'm happy to help

You are doing a great job for the society❤️ I was a hard core non vegetarian till I visited a farm and witnessed the horror of the dairy industry. The cow is inseminated painfully every 6 months so that calf is born. The calves are taken away immediately without a single drop of milk. The male calves are transported to the slaughterhouse to be killed on the very day. This process continues for some years till the cow is completely exhausted and later sold for meat. That’s the milk we consume. I literally had sleepless nights after watching the cows, their udders become so big they can’t even move. And they run to save their babies from going to the slaughterhouse. There are so many videos and information on farm animal abuse nowadays, people cannot be blind anymore.

I've been vegetarian since I was 6 in 1983, and turned vegan. I literally had to fight off the dumb questions, and claims that what I eat isn't even food. It's a relief to see a mass shift in this matter and glad to see such an amazing megastar advocating for this consistently. Sweet animals and their habitat being violated for centuries. It is time to end this without appealing to the conscience and empathy of the culprits, because they don't have any. It needs to become criminalised.
