This is an older tutorial but I want to thank you very much for your detailed instructions. It is exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you so much for showing how to sew the sitting triangles on each row and then showing how to sew the rows together. I’ve made a lot of quilts but never an on point project, so all my 32 rows are sewn together but I wasn’t sure when and how to sew the setting triangles. Now I know. Thank you very much for Showing not talking about how it’s done. Now I can get my 32 rows and setting triangles done and begin working on my border which is a braided border which I’ve never done before but looking forward to it. My heart felt thanks. ❤

Thank you for taking the time to clearly explain all of the steps! An on point border is now so much more manageable so I can now include that in my next medallion quilt design.

Yes, I too found the often discordant jazz music much too distracting. I kept turning it down but then I couldn't hear your gentle voice. Since I see this video is at least a year old I plan to look for more videos from you--because you're a very good teacher-- and with luck you will have removed the distracting background music. Thank you!

Your instructions are wonderful... paced for the student to follow easily. Your hint about spray starch to stabilize bias is a BINGO in my book since bias is so tricky to handle! I am late to this party but I do have a couple of suggestions: 1. I want to concentrate on your instruction and find the music is distracting. I hope you'll think about future videos without music. 2. Please close the rotary cutter each time you put it down. It only takes a quick brush against it to make a nasty cut. Shielding the blade every time is an especially good habit to instill in new quilters. Please continue to make more instructional videos... you are great teacher.

sorry it's taken so long to respond....I will leave the music off of future videos. I, too, am a stickler for closing the rotary cutter after each cut. You can't actually see that on this video because it goes off camera when I close it. But thank you for the feedback....very important!

Jo thanks so much for the great lesson!!! You must have been a math whiz in school!! NOT ME!!! Anyway thanks so much for this great tut!! I do agree with the others about the music, you probably don't realize it is annoying because you completely understand and comprehend what you are doing, the rest of us are out here hanging on every word you say!! LOL I think you might be able to edit the music out pretty easy if you want to. Otherwise we will keep trying!!

I AM A DYSLEXIC AND NUMBERS ARE A BANE TO ME AN ITS VERY HARD FOR ME AN MATH TO GET ALONG.... I HAVE 3 QUILTS THAT I HAVE THE PIECES FOR THAT I WANT TO DO ON POINT BUT DIDNT HAVE A CLUE HOW TO DO THE MATH TO ACTUALLY PUT THESE BEASTYS TOGETHER .... IF YOU WOULD COULD YOU TELL ME THE FORMULA FOR THE WHOLE BLOCKS BETWEEN THE PIECED ONES FOR A QUILT INSTEAD OF JUST A TABLE RUNNER PLEASE... THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENTS.. FRANKI
@jobaner7 жыл бұрын
Yes....the whole blocks between the others if you are making a larger quilt would be the same size as the pieced blocks. So for instance if your pieced blocks are 8 1/2" unfinished, then the solid or even secondary pieced blocks in between would also be 8 1/2" unfinished....meaning once they are sewn together they would measure 8". Hope this helps....good luck!

Looked to be a great video but I’m another one who skips those with music - especially this loud and distracting. 2:55 Jazz? Really? I’m not young now and my brain won’t let me follow, understand or retain anything when I am distracted to another. Too bad - I think this was going to be good.
@jobaner2 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry the music was bothersome. If it were easy to remove, I would, but it isn't. I'll leave it off in any future videos. Thanks for the feedback

The competition of the music and your tutorial voice takes alot away from the tutorial. Very informative but also annoying music that was too loud

Wow! this answered my first questions: What is a corner triangle? What is a setting triangle? and, further, how do you cut a triangle so it doesn't stretch and distort when making my nemeses - flying geese? Thank you for a very clear explanation!!! I'm a new quilter investing in Accuquilt due to my apparent inability to cut straight and use rulers, and a shoulder issue. My question was whether to buy a setting triangle die, and I now know that I should. Thank you so very much!!! FYI: the music is annoying and it would have been better to listen to your voice exclusively. Subscribed and saved!!!

I TOTALLY AGREE. I TRIED TO WATCH IT BUT THE MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD, SOME WORDS COULD NOT BE HEARD AT ALL! I MENTIONED IT IN MY COMMENT TODAY, 8/18/23
