Not only do we cover the 'unusual turn' required for odd count peyote, you will learn how to READ a peyote pattern - with everything from the 'Bead Legend" to the "Word Chart' explained. This means you'll be able to open up your creations to a whole world of peyote patterns (both odd and even count) that are just waiting to be discovered!
In this demo I will show you 3 matching bracelets that can be worn stacked up or individually. The patterns for all 3 bracelets are available in my Etsy shop and if you're already a pro at odd count peyote, that's where you'll want to head straight away:
www.etsy.com/uk/listing/90173...
I will demo the start of the narrowest bracelet, going into detailed explanations of how to read the pattern and showing you the unusual turn that we need for odd count peyote. If you need a refresher on basic odd count peyote, or you'd like to learn how to do it, I suggest you watch the following beading basics tutorial:
• Odd Count Peyote Stitch
Materials used:
11/0 Delicas in 4 colours
-White Pearl Ceylon - DB201
-Lined Sparkling Purple Crystal - DB906
-Fuchsia Lined Opal AB - DB1744
Purple Ceylon Lined Crystal DB249
In order to make all 3 bracelets from the 'Stack 'em Up" range, you will need to a) be proficient in odd count peyote which you all will be after watching the above demos and b)purchase the peyote patterns from my Etsy shop:
www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JoBarcla...
As always, I'd love to see your own version if you give this one a go - so please either tag me in a post or post a picture to my facebook page:

Thank you very much.....the way showed the bead numbers and alignment and all the details, at first I thought it would be difficult but then I started following you through half way and it felt very easy. You explain it very nicely....Thank you for the demo.

Phew! Thank goodness it made sense. Sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start as everyone is at a different stage in their “beading journey”.😉 More often than not, I don’t know when to stop and things become more complicated than they needed to be!😂 If you ever have any questions, please just ask and I’ll get back to you a.s.a.p…x

@@JoBarclayLoggie Thank you very much. I think you do a great job, you pause and wait for us to finish, you explain everything exactly as it is done. I can understand it must be very difficult to make a video and let others have a closer look at the work while for you it must be very difficult, but you still do it for us so that we could easily see and learn. You are doing a great job so thank you very much. Keep it up.

At 10:22 in your video (where you told us to screenshot the pattern), there are only 2 beads for row 6 instead of 3. Thank you for the pattern and explanation for your pretty pattern.

To figure out if a printed graph peyote pattern is odd or even count, just remember the odd count has a bead at each end that sticks out and even count doesn't!

For odd count - Each row should say either (5) or (6) at the beginning of each written row.
