Brilliant! I've been looking into bead spinners and saw a lot of people frustrated with the learning curve and saying they break a lot of the curved needles that come with the kits while they're still learning. I think I'll use some of my extra jewelry wire like you demonstrated here while I'm figuring out the technique and then switch to the needles once I know what I'm doing.

What are your thoughts on using a wire guardian on your clasps?
@JoBarclayLoggie4 күн бұрын
I’m certainly not against using them-it’s a good idea! Finishing off a design is always a personal thing and I tend to use size 11/0’s up to and around the clasp when I’m attaching one…x

Thank you for the saying things kindly. I really do try my best to stay in shot - but sometimes the inevitable happens! Normally I catch myself doing it and correct things - however; it sounds like I didn't manage that in this one! I can only apologise and 'try and do better'! ;-) x

How do you figure how many beads you would need for this necklace?
@JoBarclayLoggieАй бұрын
That's tricky to answer - a bit like how long is a piece of string? Everyone is going to make their necklaces to differing lengths, depending on the personal preferences. However, if you have a tube of each colour (over here they sell them in 22grm tubes), you'll have plenty...x

Good layout on mat, no music, clear enunciation, slow pace of speech, no rings on hands AND a piece that can be made for day or for night. I'm not sure I can work with the long length of line but I'm going to give it a try. Thank you. Subscribed.

Sometimes you go through the 11/0 and sometimes you don't. That part is a bit unclear, but otherwise the instructions are very good. This is such a pretty design with lovely colors. Thanks!
@JoBarclayLoggie3 ай бұрын
Hmmm... sorry about that Gale...I don't EVER mean to cause any confusion at all - I'll have a re-watch and see what is unclear...x
@JoBarclayLoggie3 ай бұрын
I've had another look - and I'm not sure where you mean...whenever you're adding a new section of right angle weave, you're exiting a fire polish bead and then moving one, you move through your beads to your next connection point - if that involves moving through an 11/0, then you should otherwise thread will show outside of the design....x

I’m a little confused. Because the jewelry I makes is with either a plastic string or wire string so I’m confusing how you would get beads on something like that? Or does this only work for a wire?
@JoBarclayLoggie3 ай бұрын
Hi Tammie - no it doesn't only work with wire but as I mentioned that's what I use it for, when I'm making french beaded flowers - so that is what I was demonstrating. Most of them do come with a needle - check the box before you buy - and you'll be able to thread your chosen beading thread onto that before wildly spinning and stringing your beads! ;-) x

Hi, how can I add thread to my work?
@JoBarclayLoggie3 ай бұрын
The easiest place to add in thread would be though the right angle weave...so through your base. With about 15cms of thread to go, weave away through the sides, tops and bottoms passing through beads at all times and when you start a new thread, you would weave it in through a few rounds of right angle weave before exiting the point at which you stopped beading with the old piece of thread....x
