Very good tutorial not only for beginners but also for those who have forgotten how to start the netting stitch after a long lapse. Keep up the excellent work Jo.

You're so right Shobana - even those of us who have been beading for years need "refresher" courses every now then as reminders of how to do something! xx

I so enjoy this stitch that I am starting on my second necklace using some favorite beads. Such a pleasure listening to your voice. So calm. Thank you again for teaching so well. I’d send you a photo if I could figure out how to. 🤓

Hello Thank you for this tutorial. Is there a link that anyone can direct me to show how to add a clasp? I’m flummoxed. Thanks
@JoBarclayLoggie4 жыл бұрын
Hi Clare...with regards to attaching a clasp - there are no rules. It would be impossible to demonstrate all the ways that people attach clasps; however; I have demonstrated the attachment of a clasp in a number of my youtube tutorials. Having said that, with this specific design, I would use a multi link sliding tube clasp that would have 3 or 4 attachment points. I would line it up against the edge of my beadwork and see which beads the attachment loops on the clasp are next to and then use a couple of the smaller beads to pass through the attachment loop from one side before adding a couple more beads (the same amount) to loop back to the beaded netting. Then weave through the beads on your netting until you come to the next bead that lies alongside the next attachment loop and repeat. Hope that's of some help and in the meantime I will endeavour to show the attachment of such a clasp to a cuff...x

Jo, If I used stretchy cord for this pattern, could I make a head band? =)
@JoBarclayLoggie4 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm...stretch elastic is normally quite thick and I think you'd struggle to get it through seed beads. That said - I've never tried it - so don't know for sure. ;-) But I'd be terribly worried that it would snap and all that hard work would scatter all over the floor....x

Where do I find the instructions for adding the clasp!??
@JoBarclayLoggie5 жыл бұрын
This tutorial is purely a demonstration of the basic netting technique that can then be used in collar necklaces or cuff bracelets. I demonstrate how to attach clasps in a number of my other tutorials....but not this one...x

difficult to follow.........your fingers never move out of the way...........it is a great pattern
@JoBarclayLoggie4 жыл бұрын
...Sorry you found it difficult to follow Nancy.... sometimes when the beads are tiny it’s difficult to keep fat fingers out of the way! But I will certainly bare your feedback in mind going forward! Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback! x

@@JoBarclayLoggie no worries Jo. I do appreciate that you and fellow beaders take the time to make tutorials. I actually watched it again and it got easier 🤷♂️
