This was a bit intimidating at the beginning, but thanks to you, I think I am finally getting this technique. My question to you is can we use different bead sizes?
@JoBarclayLoggie3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nishrin.... CRAW is the nemesis of many, so you're not alone in feeling little intimidated! I so hope that with a little practise you're getting there! You can do CRAW in any bead size you wish - however; if you plan to go geometric with your CRAW stitch and start zig-zagging or making a square, I would suggest sticking to just one size for the stitch! x

Hi Virginia....In this one I used about 160 fire polish beads and in the embellished CRAW I used about 60 of them...Hope that helps! ;-) x

Great tutorial!!! What size seed bead if I used a 4mm firepolish bead?
@JoBarclayLoggie5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jacqueline...you could still use an 8/0 or a 6/0...just depends on what sort of “look” you’re going for...4mm fire polished and 6/0’s will make it quite chunky...x

I have looked at both craw and praw patterns and I can not tell the difference
@JoBarclayLoggie4 жыл бұрын
It's not that easy to explain either Ann - Craw is beaded cubes and PRAW is beaded prisms, but the prism could have a square base and therefore be a cube too! PRAW doesn't necessarily need to be 4 beads/ sides - it's as many as you'd like to create a design using right angle weave or RAW. Using PRAW, your beaded structure could have 5,6,7...sides to it rather than the 4 we usually use in CRAW. I sooooooo hope I haven't confused the issue any further... they're both forms of Right Angle Weave...there's also TRAW I believe....but that's another story! ;-) x
