I think this is the best Rome has ever been depicted on film (even better than Gladiator I) and I expected nothing less from Ridley Scott, modern day technology and a huge budget. Some of Ridley's films have cinematic ambience, very immersive, like Alien and Blade Runner, and this one joins the club. It really felt like Rome.
