Agreed. This is still...umm.... watchable, but there are so many plot holes, that the story comes out, looking like a super-weird form of Swiss Cheese! For example:That battle, shown here, was interesting...but totally unnecessary. Had "Queen" Tamarias just rode forward to greet Conan in a peaceable way, then that bloodshed of those Men could've been avoided...but I guess the Filmmakers needed something "exciting" to open up the Movie with! And that's only the beginning of the plot holes. Still, although somewhat of a disappointment, it's still fun to watch... About once every 5-6 years!!!

@@ronaldshank7589 It could be seen as how things were in the first movie with life being less important than the leaders goals. And this is the same for movies like Mad Max. Where people get offed left and right. I also think that maybe she wanted to capture him and force him to do the work, in return for his release. And she winged it by promising his lover returned. Which she could never keep. Another play on it is her wanting to know for sure if he is strong enough. But that is a silly thing, since later in the movie she sends her troops after him to kill them on the road when they got the items.

I saw Conan the Barbarian & Conan the Destroyer 3x in the Theater when they were originally released & also purchased both films later on VHS. However ...on VHS I noticed the Conan & Togra fight scene in Destroyer had been edited to remove Togra's vastly superior Sword display after they both fell off their horses & continued fighting. I've never read anything regarding this "Edit" nor have watched any Arnold or Sven-Ole Thorsen interview that mentions it either. Regardless, as said ...Sven-Ole Thorsen Sword skills really made Arnold look bad which I'm sure is the reason the "Edit" was done for Home media release.

I don't get why the 2nd movie was so badly received. I get it there are some comic kid like elements in it. But overall the film and it's plot were good. It was simple and straight forward just like the first one. A really enjoyable movie.

His "Sidekick", Malak, pretty much ruined a lot of this movie. I have nothing against Tracey Walter, the Man who played Malak, but his Character was just about totally unnecessary. He jumped to conclusions that he shouldn't have, and he got things wrong, more times than not.
