What an emotionally *charged* scene! The expressions of the actors were so perfect to convey their meanings and it all really created such an atmosphere of tension that you could actually *feel* ! I luved it. Masterfully done! 👏🖤

Andy Serkis remains in the shadow of Roddy MacDowall's final speech and richly expressive performance as Ceasar from Conquest and Battle. Thanks to Kingdom, more people are rediscovering the original 5 films, the TV series and the animated series when Planet of the Apes was at it's best and in it's prime. So happy about that 💯.

@@figureofauthority i'd like to think the alternate endings lead to two timelines Theatrical ending: we lead into BattleFTPOTA and the timeline where soon Apes and humans live together in peace. Dark ending: Stable time loop and this is the beginning of the Original POTA timeline, Ceaser begins the changes and later on we get the ride of the Lawgiver Ape who solidifies Ape history and writes it to what Apes like Zaus adhere too

The original ending makes the sequel not making sense. How come a vengeful and unforgiving caesar here somehow become a pacifistic leader in battle? If they had gone with the original ending, they would have to change the next movie's plot.

The one thing I couldn't stand in the last 3 installments of the series were the time gaps between them. If they could have showed in flashback what happened with the plague that killed all dogs and cats and how was the ape rebellion able to continue with the military still intact. Again to much blank area.
