Disagree. She very much wants to be left alone with her cereal but she doesn’t know what it is to be a kid. As she watches those men on the monitor, she’s processing how to take out her prey and has no quarrel with the situation. As Xavier put it, she’s “very much like [her father]”. Pouty is a term I can’t describe her as but rather instinctual, borderline feral, and absolutely not someone you want to mess with.

“Pouty” is too nice. I’d use “feral,” “pissed,” “triggered.”
@gourdguru8 ай бұрын
@@b1llj0hn exactly. she sees them on the monitor and she's already made the decision what comes next. her eyes never leave the screen and her eating becomes mechanical, just sort of moving the spoon from bowl to mouth in an even tempo, like a metronome, as her focus is entirely elsewhere. she may even be doing that intentionally, timing their approach. she doesn't try to hide or find an alternate exit, because she sees them moving in slow and knows they aren't going in for the quick flashbang and rush approach, so she can just let them make the mistake of closing the distance and crowding her, then turn into a human cuisinart and take them out quickly. she's calculating. how many? how fast are they closing in? she's likely calculating things like "How many steps is it from the place on the camera to where i am, and how soon will they be here based on how fast they were advancing?" She already decided anything that gets within X radius of her is going to die, she's just waiting, letting them get into hand to hand combat range.

It also means her healing factor is actually more efficient than Logan's. A lot of it is inspired by Old Man Logan, which, compared to many other Marvel comics, is a lot more on the darker and grittier side. So the serious and ominous tone as well as the more tragic story of Logan is very fitting and makes sense. But at the same time, it isn’t soulless or monotonous, there’s energy and boldness to it. God i just forget how fucking brilliant this movie was. Considering how popular ‘superhero fatigue’ is now, and how popular it is to shit on superhero movies, i wish that ppl would actually give credit to the Fox movies for how fucking amazing they were. As a kid I grew up loving the X-Men movies just as much, they were fantastic, sure their lows were pretty low but they had some unbeatable highs.

Hopefully you enjoyed the D&W movie, then. It IS an homage, to what came before.

NO amount of money in the world would keep me from setting my gun on the ground and just walking away. How you think maybe I'll not die gruesomely unlike everybody around me?

Such a well written and directed scene. She takes another spoonful of the cereal as armed men enter the building.

A great movie. I watched it when it came out March 3, 2017 and although I grew up a wolverine fangirl and it hurt to see him die, this is still my favorite movie 😭 I’m glad he’s coming back for Deadpool though
Watching this after 7 years feels like a breath of fresh ait

The Reavers in the old comics were far more menacing!! The one with the Mohawk had tank tracks!!😅

The way he sighs as though chopping off someone's head and killing four people without a single sign of violence on her is normal, then he starts talking to her like she's a disobedient child... She is so much Logan's kid even without ever meeting him. Spine of adamantium, heart the size of planet Earth, born killer. But, just like him, there is much more to her-they just won't see that...
