@crona179411 ай бұрын
It's interesting, because in the script it reads: "You can't nurture rage. You must simply design it from scratch...like God did." I wish they had never cut that final anecdote. I feel like it really gave us a window into Rice's mind and personal motives; putting his pride and hubris on full display. But from what I can gather from this film as is, they probably didn't want to stray too far into 'over the top evil scientist with a God complex' territory.

He then proceeds to scold her off almost all the time and is generally unfriendly towards her. He only sees the Weapon X Programm in her at first and i don't know if you know, but he hates what he was under Weapon X so to a extend he hates Laura because her whole existence is based on what he hates about himself. I really don't know where you get the Father like Affection thing and that he tries to always protect her, when he straight up abandoned her on two occasions during the Movie in Favor of protecting/helping his real close friend. What better way than to have Logan fight his own worse self in his final journey? In fact, I actually do love how they chose to use lesser-known villains for this film like Dr. Zander Rice and X-24 (who granted was created for this film), rather than going for a more well-known and popular supervillain, so as to keep with the film's 'character-driven study'. Sometimes proves that your superhero movies doesn't always needs a popular supervillain who wants to take over or destroy the world.

What Rice doesn’t understand is that while you can build rage from scratch, the trouble is that once rage takes hold, it can’t be controlled and in the process, it causes someone to do horrible things. Like here, when X-24 became enraged , it became feral , refusing to listen to the requests and demands of its creator , even though he’s the only person X-24 listens to.

Marvel only became the " fun" universe after the Disney acquisition. Growing up Marvel was always the darker of the two because the abstention against killing was never really a part of the characters' code of ethics. No matter how dark Batman is, most of his iterations require him to abstain from killing and cooperate with law enforcement. Most mutants are regarded as outlaws and have their own codes. Some kill, some steal. Some Xmen are former villains. Some Xmen BECOME villains.
