"American Beauty" is one of the most conventional and rethorical mainstream movies about US-family and society. In the real life Kevin is too feminine for that kind of macho's roles. The indipendent Todd Solondz's "Happiness" (1996), about the same subject, is a movie on another planet.

he is one of the best actors. ALL celebritards in hollyweird are pervs and pedos, every single one of them. That is a fact that has been going on since the industry started. ANYONE who follows celebritards personal life, where they live, what they eat, watch awards shows, follow them on social media, etc. have serious mental issues that should be addressed. I like the movie driving miss daisy, but I don't hang out at the piggly wiggly waiting for them to show up. That is sick and twisted behavior for anyone to be following celebritards. All their future property rights to their films and etc and profits therein are invested into a trust which is dumped into the public with clear money trails. They never, ever get a cent from any of their work ever again, but their work is allowed to endure - solely to enrich the people they harmed. of course like hell any sort of property seizure even if it were for the people would fly, it's only kosher if it's for the government's pockets lmao

Not referring to Spacey here, but with others who have been found guilty, or for whom there is incontrovertible proof of wrongdoing...no, I cannot separate the crime from the performance of the actor/singer/artist. It's visceral. I can't see the person without a gut reaction of revulsion, which makes the art unavailable.
@putinscat12082 жыл бұрын
Spacey was guilty. But the waiter that filmed the dong grabbing encounter with him lost his phone, and so the evidence disappeared. Being gay is one thing. But trying to grab young dudes doing their jobs in a public setting is a bit much. The guy has issues. He should have the $$ to just hire male strippers, fly to Thailand, or many other ways he can feed himself that doesn't involve sexual assault. So he isn't a smart person.

If an actor does something prosecutable then throw them in prison, if not, don't deprive of us of their work. Separate the art from the artist, Hollywood is filled to the brim with the worst human garbage imaginable and literally every production is stained by these people. If audiences TRULY cared they'd never watch another movie or television show ever again, but they don't, it's completely performative. Absurd and unjust that we punish some but not others, and as a result the last season of House Of Cards was ruined and we don't get to see one of the best actors in Hollywood in movies anymore.

@@Vulcaneer900 As I said he's not in prison, and that's because In The Eye Of The Law he is innocent. So it does mean something. But people can choose to not watch an actor for any reason. The last season of House of Cards without Spacey was boring and a total waste of time. Still like his work and also rewatched American Beauty in the meantime. Before we judge based on allegations about things he did for example more than 30 years ago, I suggest going back 30 years ago and think about things that we have done back then. Can we remember every drunk night in detail? Was there anything we did back then that we would never do now?

I'm pretty sure I never climbed onto a 14-year-old who then had to escape to a bathroom to get away from me, when I was 26. As in, 100% sure. The fact that Spacey pulled an "if I did it so sorry don't remember I was drunk" when the allegation was first made is even more alarming than his tone-deaf follow up of "I guess now's the time to mention I'm gay". C'mon, man. Most people aren't like this.

@@dontbefatuousjeffrey2494 Ok, perfect saint, so you’ve never been black out drunk? After which I was told of things I had done and absolutely did not remember doing. Had he actually tried to DO anything with this 14-year-old I would say cancel him regardless of whether he remembers it or not, but he was essentially accused of flirting with the kid who flirted back. None of us are the lawyers, judges or other law makers involved in his cases so I think just enjoy the art. He's really good at acting too so we shouldn't cut him out, maybe just reduce his salary hugely because he's not "bankable" anymore. If we take the opposite stance then that is essentially saying we can't use or enjoy anything good from 'bad' people. In which case half of our modern science and technology should be thrown in the bin because bad things happened to get us that stuff. Would we just throw the cure for cancer in the bin if the person who discovered it did some truly dispicable things? Shouldn't be any different for any other job.
