Actually, as a newly grad student of MIS, you may have a broad range of IT jobs: programmer, analyst, support, testing, etc.

Hey I have a question. I have 5yrs of experience in qa and automation engineer in india and even my clients were all US companies. Next year I am planning for mis in usa. Do in usa After graduating. I will get freshers' salary of 60-90k$ or a normal usa 4yrs+ experience employee salary which is 200k+. Cuz if I get 60-80k$ then it will be less salary compare to my current indian standards salary. Hence I'm confused to parsue degree abroad or not. And my current companies not giving any onsite opportunities.

It is all about what you are really looking for. Are you looking for just a salary increase, or pursuing career growth? Those two are related but do not necessarily go hand-in-hand all the time. The salary increase is job market-driven. Career growth is a long strategic game, like an investment: sometimes you have to "loss" to gain more. So if I were you, I would ask myself first: What I am looking for? Why do I go to the US? Why study MIS? I can't comment on the salary numbers but hope this helps to clear the thought

It really depends on which degree you are comparing with. If compared with Computer Science, MIS is less coding
