Super cool hearing the boats idling louder than the aircraft flying by and the cars on the roads louder than the aircraft!
@alexorehowski3387 Жыл бұрын
It is by no means "quiet". You don't hear because of distance. Aircraft noise comes mostly from propeller not engine. DJI drone is small but still loud.

A fart next you your ear would be louder than a fire cracker on the other side of the river. It would be louder with a load but they don't trust it carry weight.

How is it possible that it is so quite? A normal drone is also quite loud and this thing is 100x bigger than a regular consumer drone.

@@TheBagOfHolding Nope, I've seen it in person several times. It is indeed extremely quiet. One of the key things they tested early on was a good rotor design. Last thing you want is another rotodyne.

The video speed up to mark 2:28 is too slow. Changing it to 1.75 feels about right. After that the 'normal speed' looks good too.

@@steve8104 why did they all cover theranos and say it could do something? It looks cool. Can you find any multirotor evtol on earth that show a man lifted in the air for 3 minutes? They would show it. Are there any official distance or time records for a man riding a giant battery? The best one is an electric helicopter. Do you think it can carry a person 5 miles away? Why wouldn't they show it? They are on the stock market and that would make the price rocket to the moon.

@@steve8104 did you record it? Of course not. There is no pilot in there. It can barely fly without that weight.

So this electric helicopter will replace.... regular helicopters. For the same people who already use a helicopter service from JFK to Manhattan. Good for this small niche but stop praising for being a solution to any global problems. Still going to need a car to go to work, to drop kicked off a school, take them to practices, tournaments, go visit parents and all the thousands of uses for personal vehicles. No need to oversell an interesting innovation in the helicopter industry. This is about the 30,000 helicopters trips that tourists and rich folks annually and the loud noise they make. This new machine would solve THIS particular problem, not the delusional "world saving" claims.

Helicopter certainly doesn't run that smooth dude. Evtols will be alternative to airplanes for shorter distances. Airplane are way bigger and more problematic to handle. This will be like cross country taxis, especially in Europe.

8 hour charging for 10 minute trip unless you can hook up to a power plant directly. They will need a nuclear plant in every major airport.
@only4posting Жыл бұрын
It's almost satisfying, seeing so many delusional people, who think the planet will blow up in 10 years, unless people buy electric cars... and battery- powered helicopters... In 2022, with just a few electric cars on the roads, europe already had to cut electricity in a ton of places and areas... Without electric cars, with the current electrical infrastructure, and the power sources like dams, etc, countries barely have enough power for everybody... and people must choose between AC or a cold fridge ! When all the activists and rich people have purchased a car, that's when things are going to be funny : cities will have to build mini nuclear plants, to power, eg, 1000 cars charging at the same time :) And we're talking about slow charges ! If people want to use 400, or 800 volt chargers, for super fast charge, every single block, or neighborhood , will require its own dam, or par plant ! Now, imagine 5 years from now, since cities, with 1 million cars charging at the same time.
@MrPilotStunts Жыл бұрын
Why are you pulling information out of your butt? It takes 10 minutes to get 25 miles of range. And one hour for full charge. You're terribly out of date.
