Very good job with a challenging setup to work with. I just got into this stuff and built a 66 blackface from a kit. My first amp. I am enjoying it and itching to do another one. Enjoyed your video!

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already working on another amp hehe 😜 Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting! It’s appreciated!

Wow! I wouldn't believe that the solder work was done so poorly unless you showed it on the video. This was supposed to be a high end model. Great video!

Thanks! Yeah, most of the amp was soldered in a similar manner. Of course it wasn’t all bad. But in most of the cases where I could have left the work alone the components were incorrect. Some were obvious mods* but some I assume the guy didn’t have those values on hand and just used whatever he had. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated! Cheers 🍻

Changing the Pro Reverb OT to a Bassman OT was an old mod recommended by Gerald Weber back in the 80s. If it works might as well leave it. Sad what was done to those amps over the year.

The problem was really that BOTH the power and output transformers were wrong. Plus having only 4ohm as an option kinda sucks (for me.) ever see that video of Gerald getting shocked hard? He was a wizard but that video cracks me up! Thanks for watching and commenting. It’s appreciated cheers 🍻
