Jocat? JOCAT! I hope you're well. I hope your sabbatical has been good for you. I didn't think we'd ever see you again; I'm actually tearing up a little. It's so good to hear you sounding happy. edit: I feel like I need to tell you that you never did anything but be wonderful and kind, and you did nothing but encourage that from your audience and your people. You are such a kind and sweet person who is SO wholesome... And that is why so may people will come to bat for you. You are someone worth fighting for. On top of all of that, thank you for reminding us that starting or contributing to a flame war is not helpful and not how to do that. It is so easy to forget in this day of the internet that having screaming matches with strangers online isn't the only way to fight for the things you love. And it is so easy to overstep and get angry when you see someone treating someone you like and appreciate unkindly. You are absolutely correct. The way to deal with people that would burn you or anyone really in some way is to give them ZERO attention. Don't give them views, don't write comments, don't get into fights, but to just turn away and focus on supporting more positive things. As ashamed as I am to admit it, that was something that I had lost sight of just in general in my day to day life. And lastly I just want to say this - Thank you, Jocat. For being who you are, for always trying your best, for looking at everything from every angle and being so thoughtful and self aware of everything you do to ensure you are truly doing the best you can. I know that must be exhausting, so please remember to look after yourself! You know we're all here for you. Thank you, Jocat. Thank you. We love you.

13:20 Masculinity, more than anything else imo, stems from being sure in who you are. Traditional masculinity is all about wanting to be a protector, and look like it. Which is why action heroes are so big. However, I'd say that JoCat is no less masculine for being softer in his demeanor. Why do guys cry when Boromir dies? Men really aren't allowed to show emotion and still be traditionally masculine in society. JoCat, in his demeanor, intelligence, and chill attitude, portrays a type of "soft masculinity" where you're so sure of yourself that you don't *need* to be a hyper-masculine manly man. And toxic people see that as an attack on traditionalism. I think it's an extension of it. Those who choose the path of the protector free others to choose their own path, find their own surety. Edit: The thigh-highs & short-shorts in the new model did make me chuckle tho lol. Wasn't expecting that

A big reason why I (and no doubt many others) would love something like a 'Crap Guide to Warhammer' isn't because guides on the 40K factions aren't out there already. They very extremely are. It's because we want to see your take on that territory of nerddom. We want to see it in a style that you came out with that we find incredibly entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to push or angle for something here. If you say the crap guides are done, they're done. Some people can handle and welcome that revelation and some would rather not find out. I'm so sorry for the sheer volume of what the last year or two has brought you. I personally am so proud of you for the grounds you have stood with your head held high. It does take time and healing, and stepping away to do so speaks volumes and maturity. It was developed in Concord, MA and here in europe it is among the grapes used for vine pest resistant roots, where the actual grape vine you want to grow is grafted onto. Funnily enough, in europe wine from these grapes is hotly debated and a "local specialty". In the whole EU, only vintners in a certain region of Austria are allowed to make and sell wine from these grapes. It's called "Uhudler" and is polarizing among wine lovers.

Jo. Jo. Warhammer isn't just for olds. I got into it in my teens. Warhammer is Forever.

As a long time enjoyer of Warhammer, Absolutely agree. But from what I can tell, 40K is the younger crowd, and AOS being Dad-Hammer. (AOS is fantastic btw, and has saved my love of the hobby after what I personally found to be an awful switch in 40k to 10th ed)

@@Merc1987 I'm an old fan of Warhammer Fantasy, and didn't like how they handled the end of that world or much care for the establishment of AoS. I'm cautiously optimistic with the return of fantasy in Old World

I am late but Jo, you're amazing, your positivity, love, and kindness are a gem and a bright spot in the storms of my life around now. Nothing was your fault, you are a great individual and... well I am bad with words at times, but its great to have you back and that you've felt ready to share your art and passions with us!

First of all I am so so happy that our favorite boy is back. Second: I never expected Jocat to get into Warhammer but the fact he did and he’s an imperial guard player is so amazing. Cannot wait to see how Jo’s chill vibes energy mixes with the grim dark of 40k
