I'd also recommend TheLoadingCrew's "What D&D alignment is" videos for some practical examples, as they do a Cinema Sins style breakdown of a different characters from pop media (games, movies, etc) and reviews their actions to conclude where they generally land on the chart. Good stuff!

@@Gameorama91 he isnt basically back. he said in his farewell that he had some projects he was working on at the time and still planned on finishing and that once hes done with those, he will be off indefinitely

This is why 5e has eliminated alignment as any hard rule and prefers players act by their traits, bonds, and flaws in their background. Alignment is background influence, not a rigid code
