This will be my final public upload before my indefinite hiatus. The final part of my BG3 playthrough as well as the remaining sessions of Heart of Elynthi will be added unlisted in their respective playlists once their editing is complete so those who are invested wont be left in suspense and without closure. When all of those are finished, I will make one final community post to notify any who may have missed them, but until then, there will be no further activity from this channel indefinitely. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much. Happy New Year.

That's the harsh reality we live in. The human mind and emotions works in a way were postitivity and compliments can only boost your happiness, but negativity and insults usually hits like a truck. 1 negative thing can overwhelm 10 positive things. JoCat didn't deserve any of those "trolls" and whichever they did it to harm or thought it was a fun gag was neither ever appropriate. I wish JoCat a bright future and hope that perhaps he can find true happiness with either us, his community, or whatever he may find in the future. Either way i hope he finds happiness.

@ryanedgerton1982 Жыл бұрын
@@jdogzerosilverblade299 -- Unfortunately, JoCat has been the victim of very serious harassment and doxxing. People saw his 'I Like Girls' video and, for stars only know what twisted reason, decided liking girls made him "too cringe" (yes, it makes zero sense, but that's what happened) and felt entitled to not only engage in a campaign of toxic messages directed at him but also make serious, believable threats against him while mailing packages to the addresses of his friends and family. These online terrorists -- because that's absolutely what they are -- have basically made JoCat fear not only for himself but the safety of those closest to him, and understandably so. I hope every single one of them gets caught and end up rotting in jail (as they thoroughly deserve), but in the meantime JoCat has made the hard but brave decision to go on indefinite hiatus from KZbin and content creation more broadly until the situation is resolved. Seriously, I don't know why some people online seem to make it their mission in life to destroy anything good and worthwhile. I hope fate is far from kind to such as they.

Honestly... just fuck, man. How does anyone find the right words to describe how much of a positive impact you have made unto so many of our lives, Jo? Been watching since the Monster hunter days and honestly, knowing there will be a Jocat shaped hole in this community moving forward that can't be filled hurts like hell, it truly does. None the less, I hope you know that many people like myself will accept your choice and want to support it whole heartedly. You have given so many of us countless smiles, laughs and touched our hearts by being who you are, don't you ever dare to forget that. With how much hate is surrounding so many of us, voices of sillyness, fun and love like yours still deafened them all out, at least for a dumb idiot like me, that does mean something. Wether you return one day, never show yourself online again, or whatever other decision you may make in the future, please know that I, as well as many others, will carry much of what you have taught us about your worldview with us to the future, and most of it for the better (not entirely sure I should run around half naked with an animal head yet). You probably wont be able to read all of these messages and comments, so I wont blame you if this goes past. After all, there are countless others, crying next to me. I do hope that a unison of our messages does stick and reach you: You are loved, Jo. Regardless of what the future may bring for you, you are not allowed to forget that. I'm getting my next Jocat tattoo added on tomorrow morning beside my Goblin wizard and baby Wiggler! Your art got us through the most significant losses of our family in the last few years, and been the inspiration foe so many adventures and even my career change into using D&D for my teaching career with children. There's not enough space to write down all the ways you've positively impacted just one person's life!! Just know you made a difference, and the community will not be the same without you and we hope to see you again soon. We love you!!!!! ❤️ ❤❤

Thank you, JoCat. For who you are and everything you've done. You've been alongside me over the years as I've grown and changed my interests in life. From Monster Hunter to DnD to FF14, we've long shared a common sense of taste. Hell, you're the best source of advice I ever found for FF14 and one of the biggest reasons I managed to stick with it long enough to finally walk the end. And then, even more than that, you served as a source of inspiration, as a positive role model, during a time when I was trying to improve myself as a person and to be a better friend to the people who mattered to me. So from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the best. I cannot deny that I want to see you make videos again someday...but I'll be content, because I'll always have the memories you gave me. So, sayonara, and may you find the happiness and peace you deserve.

Jo Cat, you have been such an awesome creator. I admired the real parts of yourself that you share with us. I also really love your style and content and personality. I hope that even with you stepping away from KZbin, that you continue to be you and can feel safe and get back to being happy. I will miss you greatly and I really appreciate my goblin plushy. He's become one of my favorites. If not for you, I don't think I would have ever understood most DND classes. Your content change my life. Thank you.

I was first blessed by your content when you first released the crap guide to the barbarian. I got hooked immediately, watched the entire crap guide to monster hunter, nuzloke, and waited with bated breath for each and every video you released. I got into GMing around the time I found your vids and used the crap guide series to convince my soon to be best friends to try out DND. Now more than 5 years later we are incredibly close, and always spam each other whenever you releas new stuff. Not only are those vids some of the best entertainment I've had the pleasure of seeing but they helped form the friendship i have with my closest friends. Thank you for that. I'm glad that you're doing whats best for you, and taking care of yourself. But im going to be sorry I wont get another JoCat notification. Thanks for all laughs, *awwws*, hours of entertainment, and advice disguised behind the latter. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you experience the greatest success in whatever you do next!

Jocat, I don't know if you'll ever read this, but incase you do, I sincerely thank you for the work you've done on youtube and twitch. Beyond your fantastically successful charities and swaths of content I could only dream of from other creators, you've personally inspired me in ways very few people have over the course of my life, and I say this with no hint of hyperbole or sarcasm. Your crap guide series to monster hunter world got me back into playing video games, especially with friends I haven't talked to in a while, your final fantasy XIV series gave me new insights into game design I hadn't previously considered, but most of all your crap guide to DnD made me the person I am now. The amount of friends I've made and fun I've had because the algorithm happened to recommend me some random video of yours could be measured in time, money, nor karma. I have even been taking upon myself to create my own tabletop games and supplements. These hobbies have become so much a source of happiness for me that I sincerely believe I would be a lesser person if you had not made such content. I only wish for you that you find every instant of peace and prosperity you deserve moving forward, and, if you so choose, you make yourself known if and when you ever come back to the internet, on whatever platform you choose.

Just wanted to say this for what its worth, thank you for everything. You're the reason I got over my anxiety and got into DND, why i met my girlfriend over it as well and then got into FF14, and experienced one of the best stories that will stick with me forever thru the game and it all wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for you and your funny, amazing videos. I'm sorry for all that's happened to you and I wish you the best, thank you so much for everything, much love to you 💕

One more voice to add to the cacophony of gratitude. Jo, you're one of the single best content creators on KZbin. Everything you do is so original and funny amd caring, and I can't thank you enough for that, but what I really want to thank you for is being you. I grew up in a repressive household but have never felt traditionally masculine, and your example of a better kind of masculinity, of just being yourself and caring for others, has helped guide my own path. I wish you all the best on your own and, while I hope you are able to come back someday, I would never want you to sacrifice your health for it. So please, stay away as long as you need, even if it's forever. Thanks again for everything.

From D&D, to FF xiv to just helping and taking part in other KZbinrs streams (big thank you for tagging along on DipperDogs journey :) ), you are just a wholesome guy and I am saddened to hear what has happened, but completely understand why. I saw you first through your monster hunter crap guides. They were and still are joyous little things to make me laugh whenever I watch them. Then I saw you getting into DnD guides and FFXIV guides, the latter of which I played with my girlfriend during that time. While I didn't watch your long formate stuff, every video I saw was filled with genuine good, joy and compassion. Your Gobbo is a glorious creature and thanks to you I have carried the Wiggler Helmet in World proudly into every fight. While I have not had the pleasure to meet you in person, everything you have created, but beyond that every touch of contact with your community that I have wittnessed has been nothing but pure, genuine, and positive. I understand the need for your decision, especially with a psychology background I get how this prolonged abuse grinds one down, particularly when contrasted to the person you wish to be or portray. I wish you that the screaming whakkos that have pushed you to this decission will face karma. Not harm, not despair, but some form of learning, though this is likely wishfull thinking. I also wish for you that the bad taste and bruises from these interactions will fade, so that you may see for yourself once more how much you mean to the community that you are a part of and that you have nurtured yourself. I hope you can look back at your channel in the future and smile at the works you have created. Your animations and songs. Your werid and wonderful. Your screams and gleeful laughs. May it all bring you joy again and may the bad that has come to pass, heal. Thank you for Everything Jo and stay the way you are, no matter where your journey from here on out will lead you. And please give Gobo a Cookie from this random stranger.

You've made me laugh during really bad months of depression and literal burn outs i was sick at home. Thank you for everything, you absolute gift to this world. You're one of the most cheerful and wholesome creators I had the pleasure to find and get to know. Thank you for everything that you've done for minorities as well. I wish I could send many many hugs your way. I hope you read this because you really helped me a lot and I can not express how much this means to me. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay happy. I'll be honest, I haven't seen very much of JoCat's stuff. I follow him on twitch, and I've watched little bits of his streams, but the main place I know him from is Shenpai's content. That's where I've found him in the first place. But even though I haven't seen much of him, he was an important part of the internet to me. Just knowing in the back of my mind that he was on the internet and doing stuff was uplifting, in a way. He was this cheerful and honest person that collabed with Shen occasionally, but every time I saw someone doing a collab with him, I instantly watched it. His twitter post on how neither trans people nor cis people need to pass is one of my favourite internet posts of all time. The clips I've seen of him are enjoyable, and that impact he made on me and other people is *impactful*. He's an internet treasure. So, thank you JoCat. If you ever do decide to return, I'll gladly start watching your stuff more, because I know now not to take good content creators for granted. And if you decide that this isn't for you, then that's completely understandable. Wherever life takes you, I hope you have a good time with it.

Congrats on your Ultimate clear Jo! I know this moment is bittersweet, but after the support you've gotten from so many fans, I think you're even more justified to step away from content creation than before. Restore that light in you; the light that has been blocked out by the terrible people, who would wish you and your loved ones harm. Take joy in knowing you leave viewers like me with a smile on their face, after seeing the support you give to others and yourself. Happy New Year

I've loved all your content since the very first time I found something of yours. I've watched the Crap Guide to D&D many, many times and showed it to my friends who are new to it. I loved watching your NG+ of Shadowbringers, and I feel so, so honored to have been in one of your favorite dungeons of it. (Hi, I'm Kitraen Xia, and I healed you. I was on the list twice, cause I wasn't picked a few times, but your hype and joy in the one I was picked for made me so excited to play.) I love how happy you are in so many of your videos, and I am saddened that you've been hurt by people who can't or won't understand you. I am hurt that you were hurt, and I wish you all the best. Love you, man, be well.

You deserve all the good things, JoCat. You are such a genuine, kind soul, it's hardly a wonder why so many people saw entertainment and comfort in your content. Over the years I've loved seeing you being JoCrap, but by far the best part of this journey was seeing JoCat, the person behind the character and the videos. I feel like so many people are better off for you simply existing in this community. You matter because you've always understood other people matter. I'm sad to see you go but I'm so happy to see you finally do something for yourself after putting other people first for so long. Thank you for all the funds raised for amazing charities, the genuine spit-take triggering laughs, the feelings of excitement I got every time I saw a new upload, all the "awww!" for all the little Gobboventures videos. It's been such a delight.

Hey, I only started watching when you began the first monster hunter crap guide series but I remember you posting on reddit about struggling to feel valuable in the space and I know my voice was just one of many in the crowd telling you how valuable you really are. Heck, I got my first reddit gold (back when that was still at least somewhat impressive) in one of those threads talking about how much of a difference you were making just by bringing more smiles and laughter into people's lives. I hadn't realised that I was trans then. I think I had some inkling that I wasn't cisgender but I hadn't put in enough of the work to figure out where I was yet. And hoo-boy is being trans hard, even without publicly coming out. Just existing on the internet and seeing how much negativity I'll be facing for the rest of my life simply because of who I am is harder than I know how to put into words. And, in the middle of one of the hardest times I've had to deal with for that, you announced the TOP charity drive and became one of the few lights in a very dark space promising safety and positivity. You've done so much for me and you've never even heard my name (new or old) or seen my face. If there's anyone in this community who deserves to call themselves a warrior of light, it's you Jocat. Because you really are a beacon of hope for so many people. Thank you for being our paladin, thank you for being our shield. I hope you're afforded the rest you deserve

Jocat, it is without any sense of overexageration or philegree that I say you have truly been an inspiration and a deep source of joy. It was through YOU that I was able to solidify my now unbelievably important love of Dungeons and Dragons. The joy and creativity you brought to learning about a system I was almost so intimidated by that I never tried quite literally changed my life for the better. It was your antics and passion for Monster Hunter that made me try to bumble my way through the wild and crazy world of nigh insurmountable challenges and though it wasn't my cup of tea in the end, I was better for having tried it at all. Finally, it was the unbelievable amount of fun I've had watching your streams and how you bounce off of the friends you keep that made me try FFXIV, a game I was too afraid to try not only because of the cost but the genre. I now own all of the expansions and eagerly await the Dawntrail expansion, too. I've been playing with my friends whom I rekindled a spark of comraderie and enjoyment with as I panic my way through dungeons desperately trying to keep everyone alive. You are, without a doubt, one of the most influential figures in my adult life, and I can't express to you how much you mean to me as a content creator. I'm going to miss you dearly, and I don't know what to say that others haven't already. I'm sorry that ANY of this happened to you because you in no way, shape, form, or consciousness did anything wrong. The only thing that was wrong were the people who lessened themselves by threatening you, your friends, and your family. As much as I wish that you would stay, I can't blame you nor do I hold it against you for your departure. You've put your life and the lives of those who care for you first, and that is an honorable decision. From one bard to another, I do sincerely hope our paths cross again, but until then, I'll make sure to keep watching your videos until that day comes. If you do return however know this much. There will ALWAYS be a seat at the tavern for you. Thank you, with much love and appreciation.
