it’s so sad seeing the park so lively, full of people, and seeing it all lit up at night because this park only lasted 5 years. 5 years of fun. 5 years of people’s laughter, excitement, and screams filling the air with life. it’s been abandoned for longer than how long it was open for. and it’s been rotting away and decaying since 2005. with no more fun, no more laughter, and no more entertainment, like an amusement park is supposed to be. but nope, not this one. it’s now a desolate and vacant land with rides just sitting there and not doing anything anymore

I don't care if I posted that reply almost a year ago, I'd still go take the Jacco animatronic for a spin, although that water either isn't gonna come out, or will be contaminated. There's still security around there, so if I ever get a job as a security guard (considering me talking about both security guards and animatronics, I think you know why. Freddy's not catching me any time soon), I'd just pull out a loudspeaker when a trespasser walks by, and say something along the lines of "*Evil laugh* Someone's wandered into the wrong place, haven't they?". Of course, I'd do it in a Joker voice. Hell, even better, record myself saying a bunch of different lines in the joker voice, editing the audio to sound corrupted, and then playing the lines through some speakers.

@TheTechGuy5009 жыл бұрын
LiveLoud1998 As it goes this entire ride can be used in another park! The Sally Corporation (the company that designed and built the ride and animatronic) keep all the designs and images so should a ride want to be re-created, it can be. So should six flags want to bring this ride back into another park, that is totally possible!
@themadhatter11849 жыл бұрын
that would be awesome, when i saw the video of inside the ride it made me want to ride it James M do you know if the ride is still the same as it was inside??
@TheTechGuy5009 жыл бұрын
LiveLoud1998 At Six Flags New Orleans, it is completely ruined unfortunately. When the Hurricane first hit, New Orleans didn't pay much attention to the resort (mainly because Six Flags backed out of the lease early so it was now government property) so people started breaking in, tagging the walls of almost every ride and stealing copper. Jocco's Mardi Gras Madness suffered quite hard from this and all of the track has been stolen. There is still some paintwork left on the inside but it has mainly turned into rubble now, with only support beams visible. Some great images can be seen on Jason Lanier's KZbin channel. He has been to the park multiple times since the hurricane and taken some amazing pictures that are really worth checking out!

True, the only problem with this ride is that It was completely destroyed by the hurricane and It could only be rebuild. Also the mardi gras theme of this ride only matched with New Orleans cause the inside was based on the French Quarter of the city and Louisiana's swamps
@silverkittenx97633 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it suffered the worse out of all the rides. All of the props and animatronics were either thrown away or seemed to have mysteriously disappeared and the audio equipment was damaged beyond repair. But had it miraculously survived through Katrina with minimal scratches and everything in the ride was still there, it would've most likely been relocated to Six Flags Great America. Great America has a section dedicated to New Orleans and that ride would've been perfect there. I like to imagine it being there even though I know that it's never going to.

The company that owned Jazzland had financial issues and couldn't keep the park so that's when Six Flags purchased it in 2002 and rebranded it in 2003. After Katrina Six Flags wanted out of their lease after not seeing how much the damages would cost and this was at the time Six Flags was going into bankruptcy themselves after buying and investing millions of dollars into other parks. SF also didn't see any potential left with Jazzland so they gave it back to the city and took what all they wanted in the end.
