Also, another great job guys. Been a great boost in quality lately. Can hear the rest of the band, but the drums stand out nice, kick is auditable, and every plate sounds crisp. About as good as a live video gets without having him do a "play through" with the original track in the back.
@LittyProductions8 жыл бұрын
Producing live videos is more of a challenge. Also, the playing has the interaction of the band members, and this is often subtle. Anyway, Amon Amarth puts on a fantastic live show.

Just a question for anyone- do you or have you tried playing with backup sticks tucked behind you like Jocke has here? I've seen many other drummers do it, but it just seems really uncomfortable to me. Plus it looks like it'd be hard to grab the stick if you did actually drop one.
@LittyProductions8 жыл бұрын
The Abbath, Gabe Seeber video has a stick recovery in it, that shows how quickly it can be done with the sticks behind. If the drummer finds that uncomfortable, they can use their belt loops, like Krimh does.
@JustinPayton8 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I just watched it. He makes an impressive save. I feel I'd just have a problem doing it because I have really long arms, and it'd be hard/awkward to reach back and grab one. Think I'll stick to my Vic Firth stick holder on my hi hat stand.
@BurnTheNuance8 жыл бұрын
I do this all the time, I use 2b sticks and I notice it someone times but it's not that bad. You would try it

WOW this is soo interesting. Here I am thinking most people not from Brazil have never heard of Aquiles Priester. He is definitely one of my biggest a favourite drummers. Of course, you fall on that list as well! Still very happy and surprised to know you are influenced by him. His work beyond Angra and Hangar are amazing. Lol does he have his set lists inside of his football Playlist wrist bands? Used to use and wear those during football games back in highschool. Thats the only thing and reason I can think of to why hed be wearing play calling wristbands w/ pieces of paper slid inside them. Thats actually a pretty cool idea if thats what hes using them for! BUT on the other hand I cant stand drummers who wear gloves lol. I myself am a drummer and have tried playing with gloves on just to see how it feels. Used wide receiver gloves though and they have a sticky plastic material on them for better grip and tried a pair of AHEAD gloves and I didn't like either. IMO I like to feel the stick and play w my pointer and middle fingers while holding the sticks at the middle pad/section on my index finger if that makes sense... but I felt like the gloves restricted my fingers and movement of the sticks. So cudos to guys who do use gloves but I feel like theres no point. And if I dont play a show or in my house for a while and my calluses get fresh & turn into a blister again I just use a good ol piece of electric tape on it if it starts to hurt. Awesome video though. I just recently started to listen to this band and theyre pretty badass 🤘
@jocke_wallgren8 жыл бұрын
Logan Wilder Hi. I have my set list to my left, just beneath the computer as you can se at 1.50 for example. The wristbands are only for catching sweat and I rarely use gloves anymore because I feel like I lost movement and feeling. Cheers!
