That's what I've heard and what I always figured. I never had a dog but if I ever get one, it would have to be a German Shepherd!

K-9 is a lifestyle, as are other things that I cannot discuss by law. I thank God for Syndey Washington (Kingdom K-9 training academy-- 2013-2014 internship) and Joe of Bethel Kennels in Gadsden AL. that took me in and trained me via an internship and my dog Smokey Joe, and Kgosi. Shout out to AMk9 and Sgt. Tim Miller of weaver police (k-9's. All of em.) For recerts in '17, shout out to Floyd county Deputy Chris Snyder ('18) for seeing how well my dog Riddick and I worked together and for shaking my hand and vouching me. I am glad Jimmy listened and got a full suit for the K-9 training unit here.

Mr. Willink, what I hear you saying is this: listening and being open to recieving (taking in what resonates and contemplating upon ) the respectable personal experience based opinions, and observations of those that have perhaps more experience and knowledge in a certain area of life/work or expertise, and attempting to do better and do different, leads to a more satisfying and meaningful life.

Yes we’re definitely a divided nation. It’s crazy Jocko. I’m 37 years old living on my own. I’m from Simi Valley, California and I lived there my whole life until I moved to Beatrice, Nebraska 3 years ago. I thought when I moved to Nebraska that everyone knew each other. Well that’s not the case. Beatrice is a small town of only 13,000 people and nobody knows each other. Nobody gets together on the weekends and does anything fun. No Sunday barbecues. There’s no community here because everyone is trying to change the world on social media. I’m glad you talked about this because people need to understand that social media is simply a useful tool that can help brand yourself and also grow a business. If you want your voice to be heard then you have to make it heard in your community. Not on social media. Although, even if you do make your voice heard in your community people still might not change because you can’t you force people to change. Either they will or they won’t. It’s up to everyone on their on own to change and lead by example. If everyone leads by example then America will change and become better.

Listen boys, I’m in the process of retiring from the military after 25 years. I’ve been in the NG since October 2006 and have been a federal employee since that time. The increase in telework has not affected my job production one bit-I do litigation and general law and regulations-no need to be in the office at all. It takes me an hour to get in and not infrequently 2 hours to get home. I have to wear a suit to work, so I save a lot of time and money by not going in, and have a lot more time with my dog. I work more hours as I wake up at 4 a.m. I log on at home and work until 7 p.m., which I would not do if I were in the office. Let’s be fair in our assessments of what is going on.

Truth. Lying as a survival skill. Should talk about that in a podcast. There is lying to get out of trouble. Then there is lying to survive.

The fact that this trained killer, that can eliminate an emeny because it's the mission , be composed under pressure and to do it in a fashion to be almost heartless, because it's what he signed up for and it's the mission, to retire and take the training to good for K9s is commendable !! Thanks Mike for all the good you do for dogs !!

That would be great! Jocko should have on Christian Craighead, Nicholas Seedsman, Big Phil Campion, Chris Ryan and Shaun ''Bish'' Bishop, too! I want to see some SAS guys on the podcast. He's had on Dean Stott from the SBS, so I would love to see more SAS on the podcast. And since I'm originally from Canada, I always wanted to see Jocko get on some of the Joint Task Force 2 guys( but JTF2 is more like The Polish Grom in that there aren't a lot of them that do interviews)! Some people don't even know that Canada has an army( and I'm not even joking but I wish I were) , much less that it has it's own elite Special Forces unit.

Well my problem is the people who can’t accept the fact they’re wrong even when there’s overwhelming evidence to prove it. It’s just out of pride. That’s a huge problem. Political beliefs are a spectrum it’s not either or. You can be conservative on one issue and liberal on another. Contrary to what the media and politicians want you to believe.
