A) Someone in family filmed it B) there’s endless reasons why this is ok to be on the internet KZbin filled with trash. This is honor and sacrifice and dedication and brotherhood all in one. People need to know that the sacrifice is real. The cost of war is real. And more than just the family carry’s the burden of loss. Their brothers in arms, carry it in a very unique way. Jocko is a national treasure. And if he’s ok with it, then I’m ok with it.

I disaree, this needs to be shown. You can hear the tears of the cameraman. I had family in Vietnam, I grew up around WW2 Vets. The respect between these men who served needs to be remembered and passed on. The current generations need to learn from these men and their sacrifices. There is something bigger than themselves.

I couldn't agree more, man. It's not like it's edited disrespectfully or really long or like a private conversation at the wake or something. I think it does a service that's a net positive in our modern world. I think things like this might help drive home some respect for the sacrifice our men and women in uniform make to an increasingly out of touch and disrespectful populace. It reminds us all who aren't in the service that it's real and how it really impacts those in uniform way more than most things could.

@@Soulintent95 lmao I was about to say the same. Some people are just not happy or feel adequate in certain aspects of their life so they feel the need to project their feelings onto others. They tend to be the type of person that doesn't want anyone to be happy, feel fulfilled, have desires/goals, be driven, etc when they lack that trait or state of mind. Like someone who wants everyone to be miserable when they are sad. It also could be envy. People lash out when they are envious or lack something that others may have.

Trident is what the Seals cling to as their bond to the Team. Jocko is simply stating his trident and this brother of his are of utmost love for one another. I get it, and I see no harm as I also don't see the NAVY having an issue with it. Jocko is burying a part of himself with his brother in arms. A kind and brotherly love act.

@@JFive1776 1) Because you missed the opening line of "For the most part, I agree with you" Statement. 2) No, I did not act like an immature asswhipe at 17-20 years of age, and despite not going into the military, I knew the importance of showing respect to people...something you would definitely expect from someone who had served in the military. 3) My post was in response to the previous one and was my own opinion as to why people in the military do not get the respect they deserve....because not all of them deserve respect. That's real life for ya my man. The ones who are good people and model soldiers deserve respect, not some of the assclowns that think the uniform automatically entitles them a higher status than those around them. 4) Respect to the fallen, and respect to all of the brave men and women who serve....and condolences to the family of this man they are burying here. My KZbin comment in no way diminishes the reverence of his ceremony, just as no one else's comment does either...That was the point of my comment. All sorts of people shitting on Jocko, saying he failed in Iraq...(Eric deming)..... I got NOTHING BUT RESPECT for Jocko! He's a Helluva Man, & until you spend 2-DECADES in U.S Naval Special Warfare.... Don't judge him!

So you put your own trident there? So you can only do this one time for one soldier? Or do you have multiple trident for this very act? Im curious

This is not inappropriate, as some are claiming. Willink is honoring this man. And this vid shares his memory with the world. I wonder how many have researched Seth Stone due to it?

Whats your opinion on the navy making it so that people who never finished high school or don’t have a GED can enlist? And do you have anything you would say to those potential recruits

Saw some comments trying to virtue signal that showing this is somehow rude, attention seeking, and/ or showing disrespect They don’t see the irony of their statements nor do they comprehend that it was done by request of the family.

I'm with you. Also, if I were Jocko, I wouldn't want the world to see this, it is for his fallen buddy and the family. I feel like I've interrupted something by watching it. RIP Badass.

Huge Respect for our servicemen & women✊ They deserve better than being sent off to fabricated wars for profit and depopulation purposes. They are the heroes who vow to protect their countries, and to be used as a pawn in the military industrial complex & cabal BS is disgusting! 😡
