I liked it that EchoCharles was more involved in this podcast. The dialogue and discussion was more vibrant. He needs to continue in a more active role in discussions.

After listening to so many of these podcasts I have a renewed outlook on life. I think everyday of the people who I will never know, that gave their all so that I can look at my children everyday and admire how beautiful they are. How much potential they have and how important it is that I lead them into the future. It's hard to say what I mean fully but, thank you.

Definitely like the more conversational aspect of this podcast. The concepts discussed are easier to internalize and digest with the pre-chewing done via the Echo-Jocko back and forth.

My guess when Jocko read firearms control as one of the disciplinary issues and said firearms control not so much, is that the difference between Jocko's perspective and Vietnam is that in the Vietnam war soldiers got sent there as replacements with no combat experience, young age and only 2 weeks of basic training, which is probably why it is in the book but Jocko does not recognise the issue because soldiers get trained and prepared much better now.

Hey Jocko any chance you could do a podcast with Jason Redman's book The Trident? There are some hard learned lessons about leadership and it's just a great book overall.

Echo's marital problems are bleeding into the podcast. There's been a few awkward unnecessary moments now. Jocko needs to tighten that up.
