Finally a band that breaks the boundaries of pop music as we know it and yet gets recognized

Not saying they’re not great, but there have been many pop artists that have been just as innovative and more popular

Easily the best album out of the lot. Concrete over water is such a beautiful track. Here's to more jockstrap albums!

Disagree. Concrete over water is perfection but the rest of the album doesn't come close to this song. It's basically a tentpole. Mark my words, their next album will blow ILYJB out of the water.

@@AnotherAnonymousMan Jen B is the best song on the album ofc ofc
@michaelcoull8590 Жыл бұрын
@@AnotherAnonymousManI kind of agree - Concrete Over Water is absolute perfection - most bands would kill to write a song half as good as Concrete Over Water- genuinely feels like an all-timer of British music to me. However, the rest of the album is at the very least extremely interesting to me, I think Greatest Hits and Glasgow are incredible tbh and Debra is a banger. It’s just they’re sitting next to Concrete Over Water!!!

How they didn't win the prize is beyond me. They are leagues ahead in creativity and her voice and performance is excellent.

I Love You Jennifer B has got to be one of the great debut albums of this century. I hadn’t heard such inventive pop songwriting in a long, long time.

Discovered this band at Glastonbury this year. Their Unreal production techniques coupled with Georgia’s wonderful lyrical vision and voice make for a band that is truly unique. Deeply talented

My introduction to them was watching Glasto on TV - couldn't get there in person unfortunately. So broad a musical palette - but that track "The City" which starts with sparce delicate voice and keys which morphs halfway through into this completely batshit scuzz beat, blip fest with lyrics about an ugly monster, a beaver and a bear. Blown away. Just love 'em.

Saw these guys at White Hotel in Manny a few months back.... wild gig - front woman was dancing around the space for the entire set. She's got a fascinating stage presence! Loved this set too, with the odd, cold outfit choices and sounds accompanying her soft vocals- super interesting to watch and try to decode. Big fan - an original performance/ set-up

I saw them twice in Chicago (in consecutive days!) over the summer and this song never fails to give me goosebumps every single time. I think my words won't do justice to describe how good 'I Love You Jennifer B' is but I would say they are one of current musical acts that are pushing the definitions of what we call 'music' further away
