Wu tang was on the remix of this song, it has a different beat (Meg the stallion used the beat for her song Plan B). Jodeci is highly respected by both rappers and singers. Michael jackson said he bought their album every city he went to. It was one of his favorites. And y’all calling this a tik tok song? Because it has a heavy ass quotable. KZbin “biggie singing jodeci” he sings that exact opening line while with his friends (bunch of dudes) smoking and no one cared, they actually asked him to sing it because he liked jodeci, most dudes did. This song isn’t homoerotic. Y’all just don’t have any experience with women, I can tell. Yall big with those tight tshirts and probably got on some nut smuggling jeans talking about other men. Jodeci were some regular dudes and pretty much the only rnb singers regular dudes listened to. It wasn’t cool for guys esp street dudes to listen to boys ii men and other rnb acts back then, and they didn’t have that bass you could ride to, like jodeci does. They always had that bump in their music. The guy with talk box is Devante swing. The only dude who could hang with suge knight then go on stage accepting an award for jodeci while smoking a cigar (suge started walking around with a cigar in his mouth after being around Devante) telling people to make sure they go buy “his boy Eazy e’s album” 😂, and suge knight still f’ked with him. You think suge would let any person in the music industry get away with that? ESP since the album had a diss record to death row on it! Suge instilled fear in people just for blinking wrong but not Devante. Because Devante was that dude. Still is. He is One of the best producers for hip hop and rnb. He produced and wrote all their songs. Worked with Tupac , biggie, Michael jackson, prince, all the legends and gave diddy his start letting him help produce a record for the first time (come and talk to me remix). Diddy got the whole bad boy image from jodeci. They were called the bad boys of rnb. They were the first to rock tattoos and have their skin showing and have nose and ear piercings. Name one singer of rapper who was rocking that before him. Rappers were NOT doing that back then. Even Tupac was looking like a college kid in the Keep your head up, video. He changed after going to death row (Devante produced for death row artists too). But Devante swing was the first to do it then you started seeing rappers popping up all tatted with their shirts off and pants sagging and ears/nose pierced. Now it is uncommon for a rapper to not be tatted or pierced. Devante was also the first with a face tat. He’s best friends with Mike Tyson and Tyson got his face tat after seeing devante’s. You can google that story. And you calling him a knock off little fizz lol! Devante swing always had crazy haircuts. He is responsible for that F-boy cut and blonde hair dudes are still rocking to this day. Here’s a word: it’s called the blueprint. Devante also discovered missy Elliott, timbaland, static major, ginuwine and a handful of the biggest artists/producers. They were all apart of this group he had called swing mob/bassment cru in the mid 90s. You both can barely make complete sentences or thoughts when you speak. Just repeating the same words. This is not a tik tok song. The whole song is not even in the video either. Please learn your music history before commenting ignorantly on a group that gave hip hop and rnb its style.
