Decades later I now watch Johnny every late again on YT. Interesting how it came around again. These interviews are amazing. Jodie Foster is intelligent and accomplished - far better than most adults on talk shows these days. Thanks for posting these.

Absolutely. I love to watch The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (along with a list of other excellent thrillers) around Halloween. Jodie is one of the best actors, ever.

well she had been around adults her entire life... big big stars as well- thats why there seems to be this "no big deal" attidude eminating from her being on Carson.. The only thing about that life is the same as home school kids, they always seems a little oblique when compared with kids their own age...just a little "off"...Regardless..an american treasure

she's very intelligent and scarily a bit direct for a kid ... and not intimidated by people/adults - for sure. Very proud of herself and let's you know it. Confident in her intelligence and talent. And compared to how we hear 15 yr olds speak - she has an amazing command of the language and can converse with the best of 'em! She is still exactly the same as an adult. I would have loved her to have had an IQ test at this age.

Jodie and I are the same age and, growing up, I had an enormous crush on her. I loved her in Napoleon and Samantha, Tom Sawyer, and Candleshoe. I did not see her more serious roles until much later. Of course, i had no idea she was batting for the other team.

She is just extremely bright and pleasant and centered here. I sometimes think rather then evolve some people have lives where they peak early or middle or later into the best version of themselves and can change again quite severely sometimes. Not saying this is true about Jodie Foster but she certainly seems very peaceful and assured here as a superior version of any person really.

I have never seen any of the movies they spoke of but for Candleshoe, it was really good as I recall. My favorite film she did was, Contact... brilliant! I really like the one where her young son & her were hiding in their house when robbers broke in, it had Forrest Tucker in it. 👍👍

so was born in 79, and didnt know of jodie until little man tate time period , and of course silence of the lambs is near masterpiece! and shes always been an amazing actress and highly regarded , but i didnt realize she was doing movies so young.. the really odd thing is there was long gap between taxi driver and accused.. and after nell she never really made any good movies at all. what the heck happened ?

The first long gap was because she went away to Ivy League college. Contact was a good movie. That was after Nell. She slowed down after she had kids.

Right? I don’t understand why they’re allowed to post the full episode, but not any of the clips guests brought to go with their interviews. The whole episode, clips/trailers and all, should be already cleared, long ago. Yet, I never see any clips in any videos of episodes of old or currently running TV shows like this. I don’t get it.
