I finally did a search on the dancer Tiana because of peopleʻs comments. I was pretty sure she was a Miss Aloha Hula participant by the way she dances (like a soloist), and I found she WAS in 2015 -- Sheʻs Tiana Kehaulani Arrocena Soares of Keolalaulani Hālau ‘Ōlapa O Laka under the direction of Kumu Hula Keola Dalire, who took over the hālau when her mother, Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire, passed away in 2014. Aloha Dalire was the first Miss Aloha Hula at the Merrie Monarch Festival in 1971, and her three daughters, Kapua, Kauʻi, and Keola, were all Miss Aloha Hula and are now kumu hula. Her granddaughter, Kili Lai, was first runner-up in 2014 and 2021. Kumu Aloha Dalire worked with Tiana Soares from the age of three. THATʻS why Tiana is such an awesome, beautiful, graceful hula dancer!
