Idk if it's his worst, but this is pretty disgusting. I agree with Shapiro, he already HAD a sweetheart deal considering the sheer number of crimes he committed. He got 17.5 years on 48 counts! Thats under 5 months in jail for each kid he sent to jail in exchange for cash. Keep in mind too, some of these kids were going to jail over social media posts mocking school administrators. The fact he gets his sentence commuted after only serving a little over 9 years and a few years house arrest? It's pathetic. Our justice system should have demanded more of the people who are charged with upholding it.

Niall may be surprised to find that kickback payments to public officials are already illegal. That was the nexus - the private facility paid the Democratic Party Judges (they're elected) kickbacks for generating receivables from the County in the form of resident juveniles. The Judges abused their discretion to find more kids delinquent and to sentence them disproportionately - out of County attorneys representing juveniles in criminal matters were shocked by the sentences handed down by these two Judges for minor infractions that would everywhere else be met with community service requirements. The only reason that there is a market for for-profit private facilities in the first place is that the Democrats see any public function as an opportunity to provide sinecures and contracts to their clients.

I've read the Constitution. Nowhere does it say a President can issue pardon's in advance of due-process convictions for un-specified crimes. Do we need a Constitutional amendment to clarify that point? Where is the Supreme Court on this? Wherever they are, Pardons should never be issued unless there is a conviction for a specific crime.
